Yeah, in my head as I read it, her voice was much deeper and more dreamy as if she was falling asleep and of course with a strong Irish accent. If I remember correctly Molly was in bed, drifting off to sleep, wasn't she during this?
Wonderful clip! It certainly captures Molly very well. Can someone tell me the year of this film and who directed it? I would love to see it. In addition to the clip, I especially enjoyed briefly watching the "Nausicaa" episode here, where Bloom masturbates after Gerty shows him her legs and her panties. WOW!
This little clip captures so much of Molly, Leopold, Blazes Boylan and Dublin I'm sure James Aloyisius would approve. Double mumpers and Blazes be daaammed! Tend your own yard woman!!! And hang yer washin' proper.
la mujer de Bloom tenia rasgos mediterraneos pero solo en la mente de Bloom (Joyce). En realidad era de Galway,es decir irlandesa, su madre era espanola. Sorry for my spanish, i'm italian.Ciao!
Molly nació en Gibraltar el 8 de septiembre de 1870, donde permaneció hasta los 16 años, hija del comandante Brian Tweedy y de Lunita Laredo, española. Esto se deduce de su monólogo.
En un capítulo anterior dice Bloom:"My wife is, so to speak, Spanish, half (...)been born in (technically) Spain, i.e., Gibraltar. She has the Spanish type. Quite dark, regular brunette, black." No creo que sólo sea producto de la imaginación de Bloom.
Estuvo bueno el video, pero -si no recuerdo mal- la mujer de Bloom deberia tener rasgos mediterraneos: quizas cabellera negra, ojos grandes. Espero no estar recordando mal mi 'Ulises'. For those who know spanish. Laughs.
It's good, but why does it only focus on the titillating parts of Ulysses, and not the more prosaic passages about cattle, Catholicism, and metempsychosis?
The video? The clips were taken from trailers that really weren't that long. I just tried to make it look like it made some sense. I do own the entire film now so I could make a better one. If I thought it was worth the effort.
I love Molly Bloom, Jung says the definitive woman. Who plays the great lady in these clips?

I did like the movie - Stephen Rea was brilliant.

I like it and there's plenty of references to Catholicism and metempsychosis in the film as well as references to foot and mouth disease!

"grisly old Sykos who have done our unsmiling bit on 'alices, when they were yung" (Finnegans Wake)
(Which means amongst other things: "Jung's unsmiling bit on Ulysses". I wouldn't refer to Jung when it comes to Joyce.)
