No MC5, No Ramones....No Sex Pistols, Clash, Buzzcocks, Stranglers, Pixies or Nirvana. What would Music have be like without this band. In the Dictionary or rock, under seminal and influential is a picture of the MC5...Rock on Motherfuckers

New York Dolls, Vevet Underground, Johnathon Richman and the Moder n lovers, The Who, Bowie and the Doors all had as much influence on punk as the MC5. boy it gets annoying seeing the same stoopid comments at every MC5 vid on youtube. stop trying to categorise what u don,t understand and just enjoy the rock music...

They were all bands which when interviewed specifically quoted MC5 as a major influence.

I just think its ridiculous to think that punk rock would not have formed if the MC5 were'nt around. Now if the STONES had never formed then we would have had no MC5 or about a 1000 other garage bands!!!
