I'm beginning to dislike watching you play Andy, you always make me go back to practicing after I just got done. JK, as always, I get inspired to go back and play and work harder on my riffs thanks to not only the demo's on the guitars and equip but the fingerwork you always display. Great riffs too boot. man those pickups sound great. The bridge pickup isn't too thin for clean tones and the neck pickup isn't too dark for distortion.

@fullmetalfunk I think saying barometric pressure effects tone is a little lofty - I'm about as nerdy and gear-headed as they get with guitars, and I don't know about anyone else, but my guitars sound the same on a high pressure day as they do on a rainy day when the pressure drops. Varying humidity will not so much affect the guitar's tone as it will affect the guitar's setup. Keeping a fine instrument in extreme dry or humid conditions will eventually cause neck problems like warping and frets

does the use of pedals for these guitar demos color the true sound of the guitar at all? it seems like it's almost more of a demo for the pedals than it is for the actual guitar...

@downwithdixie yea i know there were clean tones, which would show the true clean sound of the guitar. i have nothing against PGS demos, but it seems like the guitar would sound different when used with different pedals than the ones in this demp

@ergummer Dude - Andy did a video a while back on the whole PGS demo recording process. Check it out - it will answer a lot of your questions. While it's true that "everything colors the sound" - PGS does a good job of getting the "real" sound of what they're selling in these demos with careful mic placement and good selection of recording gear, etc. They've learned a lot in 740 recordings.
