I wish these guys would come over to Germany! By the way, the beginning and end of WOTS must surely be the most recognisable pieces of music on the planet. Well done!
The Musical Box, The Genesis Of A Tribute band pro-shot DVD available at Tommygun Video please see our youtube channel for link to web site, video clips, and more info
I saw this amazing band perform their note-for-note replica of "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" a few years ago in San Francisco. I saw this show with my college roommate that I saw the Genesis show that it was based on in San Diego in 1975. The Musical Box worked with Genesis band members to get copies of the original 35mm slides that were projected behind the band for this early multimedia concert. It was note-for-note PERFECT. See The Musical Box if you can!
I have seen The Musical Box eight times in four cities (Toronto, London, Cleveland & Detroit). To drive up to 4 1/2 hours to see a "Tribute" band speaks for itself. They are incredible. I like to look around about 5 minutes into this song. You can always tell who is seeing them for the first time. They are the ones with their mouths hanging open, wondering if they went through some sort of time portal back to 1973. Just as I did the first time I saw them.
@magog77 In 2004,I took the ferry to Italy, (4 hours) and drove 6 hours, speeding to get to Zurick for finnaly arriving at the end of the last concert where they played The Foxtrot show in Europe... I only saw the encores (the foutain of Salmacis and The Musical Box if i remember) On the day after, i drove again 8 hours to reach a city on the north of Italy and saw the Selling England by The Pound show. A great moment. I had seen the Lamb show in Paris in 1975. I flew to Paris 30 years after
Its nice that this tribute band is doing this, since I never got a chance to see Genesis perform with Gabriel in the early 70's I was not around for that, thanks for sharing.
I saw "The Black Show" in Chicago in 07 and "A Trick Of The Tail" this year at Milwaukee. These guys are damn close and I recommend that you go see them.
I saw this live a few years ago on the box's lamb tour. It is funny how any genesis video of this shows a close up of "gabriel" so that you lose the imagery of the fluorescent eyes.
the drummer's name is Martin Levac. Look him up, he is an exact clone of Phil Collins. He sings for a band called Turn It On Again and sounds exactly like Phil Collins. He looks exactly like him, drums exactly like him, dresses exactly like him, sings exactly like him. He is insane.
Wow. Absolutely spot on.

It is spooky how close it is. The guy's voice is Gabriel to a T which is pretty much impossible. Same accent and tone.

I saw them in London, Ontario. One of the most wonderful experiences I've witnessed. Why did Tony play his keyboards cross-ways like that I wonder.

@rjrrp You mean a Genesis show? Gabriel wasn't working as a solo artist until after 1975.
