  • hmmm nothing special

  • It's wrong, i don't even play bass and i know it's wrong...

  • I really respect the way you did this song as it allows people to listen and see at the same time. This is a great presentation that will help many people!

  • i thought i was missing some notes when i was playing this song. thanks for playing it the right way. now i will too.

  • booooooo

  • nice c0ver dude

  • yea thats way off buddy. theres some tabs up and a bass instrumental video

  • no way dude hes playing it right i have the official foo fighters bass tab book and this is right

  • they may play it different live or something but Ive heard the bass instrumental and it matches up with the song exactly

  • I guess Ill have to check it out next time im at guitar center or hastings.

    I was pretty sure that bass didnt come in till about 24-28 seconds in starting. 0 0 12 0 12 12 0 12 0 0 12 12 12 0 then 9x16 5x8 9x16

  • While this is what you would think the bass part is, it's actually not even close. Look up the bass only part for this song and prepare to be amazed. You played what you would expect the bass to play and it sounds very good. Not saying that you as a player are wrong but this is what you would expect to play.

  • this guy plays it how i always see it played

  • @BCarey2293 isn't it played in drop d?

  • @nendo - Yea but during the verse bass plays an octave D on the low D string to the rhythm of the intro. it would go something like D|--0-0-12--0-12-12-0-12-0-0--12-0-12-12-12-12--

  • @BCarey2293 yeh got it prity much learnt to the offical track now

  • yeah, I play it the other way now that you pointed, it out it sounds a lot better, thanks.

  • i thought it ended 12 12 12 0 instead of 12 12 12 12

  • @xTrettx - Yea you would think that but he plays 4 "12's" I'm positive.

  • nice job man!

  • I play the intro on my bass instead.

And I play the Rhythm on the Chorus part.

  • I think you got a wrong note in the end of the brige before the chorus. You play an E and I think is an A.

  • Agreed!

  • well played on pre chorus!

  • where did you get tabs

  • i didnt get the tabs anywhere i figured the song out but when i do get tabs i go to bassmasta . net

  • its fun to play.

  • that's a good reason :)

  • 高手!牛X!

  • did u use a pick or fingers

  • fingers, i really suck at using a pick

  • ha, me too, i accidentally hit the wrong string and it messes up the song

  • where did you get the tabs

  • is that a esp bass

  • its an ltd esp B-50 body and neck with Seymore duncan active pickups

  • Drop D on the E string. =/

  • He doesn't need to play it in Drop D. You can see he's playing the D on the 5th fret.

  • IS this the 5555555555-2222222222-333333-222222 riff?

  • For the verse yes. Pre-chorus and chorus are different.

  • pre is all on e

    444-555-777-999-h10-0-777777-00

    then repeat

  • my bad pre is all on A string not E

  • Best Alternative Rock band on the Acitve Rock Station

NOt like there have been many

  • too repetitive :S

  • Tru

    The Song is still good

  • im doubting you did it by ear, you play the same tabs as the ones from ultimate guitar, if you did do it by ear why not just check sites for tabs, saves alot of time, then as you play through the song you will hear bits that are wrong and amend slightly if needed

  • I just personaly prefer to play by ear. I didnt plan on learning the song. i was just fucking around and came across a few things that reminded me of the song, so i figured it out.

  • you added some nice little flourishes and what not.

yeah the song is in drop D but you play it just as good in normal tuning.

  • They should of made the bass more audible in that song, you sound great.

  • Dude you rock!

Can you possibly send me some tabs for this song?

  • Wow I LOVE it :D And the strumming after that bass-less part was a nice touch.

  • Good job, although it's actually played in drop D tuning.

  • I play by ear not by what they wrote it in. I think the way i play it sounds identical.

  • unfortunatly not, the song excessivly uses open drop D string, so you are not playing it correctly. not a bad effort though :)

  • Awesome dude.

    thanks

  • Dude big props on this song. i just picked up bass a few months ago and with your video was able to learn my favorite song. Thank you. Many more hopefully to come? Tabs would be awesome with the songs or at least a link to some. Thanks again!

  • Nice Job!
