Its funny how i boycotted this years glasto due to no highlights of the formidable however because of the mystery effect this festival undoubtedly gives i fortunately had a change of heart and was brought the new music entertainment without a second glance i knew this girl was out there with or without a band it felt like top secret again i suppose bbc bosses let us see what was doing on this stage the most good luck to 'em
god fuckin damn it!! those borin fucks in the audience dont deserve to be there.. i was at glasto and hadnt heard of her then, would have LOVED to be there, DANCING along.. .
I've heard a few tracks on bbc 6 music over the last few weeks, i picked up her album last week and it's just so totally fantastic, strongest debut album i've heard for years. One hell of a voice and some quirky but beautifully constructed songs.
@MrThinontop I think "The Devil" is the best song on the album. Even though these singles may be more accessible, she's at her best when she's doing something that's not quite conventional. This song has a very conventional structure.
We are so lucky to have three truely great female singers PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi & Camille O Sullivan. May they all have as long and exciting eventful lives & careers as the Godess herself Marianne Faithfull.
@megatonblitz With respect Glastonbury doesn't throw up gems, they are already around, working their rocks off at small venues around the country and abroad as Anna has done and continues to do. Eavis doesn't discover talent, he just presents it second hand. I agree she can be awesome and the choice of the harmonium and its (adopted) player, Mally, was inspired.

Glasto always throws up a couple of gems I've never seen before . This whole set was awesome. I love the sound of the Harmonium on these songs.
