  • She aged quite a bit.

  • I grew up with Patty Duke and she would be older than I am. I don't know her age but I would give her at least 7 years older. Patty has gone through a life of hell and to be abused in one's lifetime would set anybody off balance. Her mental illness is also inherited but it takes something in life to push someone overboard. Patty if you are reading this I applaud you for what you said about forgiveness and yes that is a big part of the battle. Bless you Patty and we all love you.

  • Poor Patty, she sooo needs a team of gays who could make her look fabulous. She's far too young (and pretty) to look so old and frumpy..

  • To this day..Ms.Duke is still a beautiful, talented and caring person.

  • why didn't the host stand up when Ms. Duke come out? is she crippled or something?

  • She is a wonderful woman whos conquered alot.

  • I LOVE Patty Duke, but I wish she would have just gone ahead and blown her nose and stop wiping it on the back of her hand....

  • Susan Hayward died in 1975, not a few months after the filming of Valley of the Dolls in 1967. This lady gets her facts wrong alot.

  • @ScrapNfight I think her point was that she didn't realize that life was so short for. between 67 and 75 is not a lot of time

  • ONE HELL OF AN ACTRESS ONE WONDERFUL CARING WOMAN, THANK YOU A HUNDRED TIMES OVER.

  • ROFLMHO--"I was "sparkling"! I thought I was only sparkling if my eyes were rocketting in my head!" LOL -- Priceless!!

  • This was just wonderful to watch....Thank you for having posted this. Patty Duke (Anna) is my one time all Favorites......

  • Love Patty a wonderful smart talented woman.

  • Fascinating interview. I knew of her early career but had no idea about her tragic childhood. Thank you for sharing your story Patty Duke.

  • Patty Duke is a joy. I knew she had a troubled childhood and I remember the first time I saw her interviewed as an adult and how happy she had become. I was pleased that her life is now positive for her. It's sad, but today's child stars are not disfunctional because they are surrounded by abusive people, they are disfunctional because they are materialistic, greedy and self-centered. And there is NO medicine that will help that!

  • ..."at any rate..." - I love the way she keeps repeating it!

    But she's a great person!

  • John Ross must have been very good instructing acting because Patty Duke Astin was a phemoninal actress - of course, her talent wasn't anything learned as much as it was so obviously NATURAL -- can't make a 'star' out of stone. Too bad the Rosses were such evil people when they had such a bright, beautiful little girl in their "care". But, she overcame them and her fans love her to this day.

  • This woman is a GEM. She was a PHENOMENAL talent as a child, a POWERHOUSE as an ac...tor and as a Wise Woman she is a Healer & a Teacher of vast Quantity & Quality.

Patty Duke saves lives...and minds. God is REALLY using this woman.

If you have ever had struggles, challenges and obstacles that you have had to face and overcome in your life, you are about to receive a rare BLESSING today.

Or perhaps you are struggling right now?

    Hold on.

    Thank you Patty Duke!

    YOU ROCK QUEEN!

  • I simply adore Patty Duke. I feel like I've known her my entire life. She's so cool!! Thanks very much for posting this.

  • I kind of feel the same way myself~ Seeing "The Miracle Worker" very early on, ..Six years-old I was.. Really left an indellible mark with me, influencing my life to this day!

Classy, funny, insightful lady, she~ ...Maybe it doesn't hurt either that I'm an Anna Marie, too! lol ;)

  • What a fantastic lady! This was very interesting, informative and heartwarming... thank you for posting it.

  • Patty Duke has class! Many new so-called celebrities could take a lesson from her. One of our best actresses, and a leader in the field of bi-polar education.

  • wonderful wonderful woman, human being

  • This is awesome! :)

  • She has my name...well I have her name as she is a bit older...Anna Marie

  • I just love Patty Duke! Can't wait till the DVD release!
