Our town has lost much of its population now. Times have changed as has morality. We once had 4 or 5 drugstores and each had their own "luncheonette", with specialties...ie cherry coke. I miss the bldgs.with ads painted on the brick. I think one is left. The town seems to have sprung up in a "butter bowl". The view of the hills is the same and berries are still here and God is good all the time. After living away and getting a wiff of the crude coming down Rock City Hill, I knew I was HOME.

I have some great memories from this place. The Fireman's Monument is where I go to get some peace and quiet, it's beautiful and so peaceful... Great video it really brings out Oakhills beauty! :)  -Katy

Thank you for this video. As a child, I played in Oak Hill - sled riding, picking berries, chewing bark off of the birch trees, eating lunch under the huge pines. Good memories.

Wow, this is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for posting this. I have walked through this cemetary many times and especially love it in the autumn, since when you get to the top you can see all of the beautiful colors on the hills surrounding the town.
