  • dude wheres the bari sax at

  • @MasterZach97 This was transcribed for an ensemble class of mine, where we had no bari :(

  • Could you post the sheet music?

  • @42tbone42 This is the sheet music?

  • Sorry man I totally commented on the wrong one... Too many pages open! That was actually really good. You should do everything went numb if you havent yet.

  • I actually wasn't a big fan of this at all. Did you do this by ear?

  • thanks for this man it helps alot and can you make one for somewhere in the between

  • Dude, thanks!

  • Can you / have you written out the other parts? I'd like a Bari sax copy...

  • @Kasabouaa I've lost the original file, this is all that's left I'm afraid.

  • @BenskyBen

Aw, that's a shame. I was asking because, with permission and credit, I wanted to see if my teacher would let our jazz band play it...

    Thanks anyway.

  • I cannot hear the tenor part on my headphones life now sucks.

  • Not bad. Like it's not perfectly accurate, but sorta close. Glad you got the right key and all but alot of the inner stuff was sorta off. Best way to get it right is listen to te live stuff and just put it to memory. Easier to here seperate parts. My band covered this and we don't bother with sheet music, much easier just to memorize.

  • @thatmortonchild I hear that. This was just for a class at my uni which required me to write out all the parts so we could play it. That being said, we didn't even get to do it, so I thought I might as well upload it to YouTube. I do agree with just memorizing music, that's what my band does.

  • HOW CAN I GET A COPY!

  • you do know tenor sax dosent go that high in the solo part as far as i know you cant even play that high its above the range

  • @GOLDMATT123 I just wrote down what I heard. Besides, I've played with some pretty monster tenor players who have an amazing range who could probably play it.

  • @BenskyBen no you cant thats a note above the range the tenor sax can reach...im more then positive i can play everynote im suposed to play on my alto witch is higher then the tenor and i still dont go up there

  • @GOLDMATT123 That really depends on what sort of player you are though. If you're still in school playing with school bands, then sure, you shouldn't be doing that anyway. If you're really into playing, practicing for hours and hours a day, gigging every night, then you'd wind up getting a badass range.

  • @BenskyBen but when the note is above the reach able range of your instrument how are you going to hit the note.....

  • @GOLDMATT123 There is no "set" range for any instrument that requires air to play. Everybody's range is different. Just for argument's sake, I am able to play an F that is six ledger lines above the stave on the trombone, where as any school kid wouldn't even know that note existed.

  • @GOLDMATT123 You can play that high, its called the altissimo range. It's very difficult but can be reached, but one way our middle school teacher tought us to reach that range is you kind of adjust your jaw a bit forward so you hit that note, so now me and a couple of other high schoolers can hit it. It's very difficult, but can be done.

  • @xxzhoutaixx my private teacher told me there just controlled squiks and sqwaks not really a note...idk

  • @GOLDMATT123 If you go to google and type in an alto sax fingering chart, hit the first link you can click on the altissmo fingering chart if you go here you can find the fingerings for the lower altissimo range, also if you were to transpose from tenor to alto sax that G sharp would go down to a D sharp which wouldn't be too hard on an alto

  • @GOLDMATT123 Jim Conti is playing altisimo notes so no it's not out of the range of a tenor it's out of the range of most people who play tenor

  • you should definitely translate atleast the solo to alto sax. that would be rediculously amazing.

  • bari sax????

  • @fibrrr I only wrote it for trumpet, trombone and tenor saxophone because it was originally going to be for an ensemble class that I was taking at the time, and we didn't have a bari. :(

  • @BenskyBen At 0:30 it has B Natural, B Flat, B Natural, and B Sharp, then C. How do you play the B Sharp if it's the same thing as C? o.o

    (trumpet part)

  • @DonaldHellsing Key sig - It's a C# :P

That being said, I should have written the B# as a C natural.

And with *that* being said, I can't read trumpet music very well, so I was just relying on my ears to produce the proper sounds.

  • @BenskyBen Does that mean I have to transpose it or something?

  • @DonaldHellsing Oh no no, it's all in the right key and everything, just some notes might be a bit strange - That's just the reasoning behind it. :)

  • @BenskyBen Ah so I just play the C twice?

  • @BenskyBen Wow I just figured it out, I completely forgot to take in to account that the high C is sharp -.-

  • @fibrrr just transpose it to bari

  • can i plz have the sheet music

  • @Louie1063 Sorry mate, my computer crashed late last year and I lost the file. :(

  • can i by any chance get the sheet music plz

  • o m g i love you for donig this!!!!!!

  • @nikkiloveserafuku Yay! I'm glad you like it! :)

  • How did you record what your computer was doing? I am trying to do something like this

  • @hungryazhn If you have a PC, then you can use CamStudio 2.0 (unless they have an updated version now). I haven't tried it on my Mac yet, but I am sure there are a lot of different ones to use.

  • Any chance I can get the music I really wanna play this with my band...

  • @gercen92 The only way would be to write it down by copying off my transcription, I'm afraid. :(

My computer crashed a while back and I lost the file.

  • @BenskyBen ohh well thanks anyways

  • 1:16 sounds like music for the mario games

  • where the heck is the bari sax part???

  • @bsinger51 I transcribed it for some guys at my uni - We don't have a bari player. >.<

  • Wow, awesome job O_O There's a few enharmonic equivalents that I would've done differently, and the measure spacing's funny in some places, but it sounds perfect :]

  • @queasyweasel Yeah, when I wrote this up, I had never heard of enharmonics haha. I can definitely see what you are talking about though. :)

  • wow this was very good now i can play this song ^____^

  • thanks so much!

  • can you send to g_1994@comcast.net

  • This is nice. I enjoyed listening to this. Well done.

  • Can you send this to me? I have finale

  • is sax for alto or tenor

  • @CDsisters Tenor. :)

  • Ben! Thank you SO much!!! I have been wanting to learn this song on the trombone for such a long time! Thank you!! I love you!!

PS I love your gauges. :P

  • Could you possibly make this an arrangement or and actual song and have another song play the melody part or the 'lyric' part of the song and maybe make that into MP3? I really like the way this sounds.(: I love how you can take

'classical' instruments and make this genre of music sound so beautiful.

  • This isnt transposed is it? like cuz theres a tenor sax and trumpet witch are both B flat insturments

  • could you send me the midi to this? thanks. my email is daegi_lee@yahoo.com

  • can u give me the music sheet i have score writer for sheet . tnx

  • HOW DO WE GET THE ACTUALL SHEET MUSIC IN PERSON??????????????

  • @JoseOscar12345678910 Do you have Finale or Sibelius or any other music notation program?

  • @BenskyBen uhhhhhhhhhhh no

  • @JoseOscar12345678910 Then you can't get it off me, I'm afraid. I was going to send the MIDI to you; You can then open it up in a music notation program and print it off.

  • @BenskyBen well what if i do get it??//

  • @JoseOscar12345678910 Then I can send you the MIDI via email. All you have to do is import it into your music notation software. :)

  • @BenskyBen yo can u send me the score my email is dollysrulz68@aim.com

  • @BenskyBen oh ok thanks very much ill let you know when i get it

  • @trinitylullaby The trumpet and trombone just overwhelm it a bit because they're in unison.

  • that is incredible, was that all done by ear?

  • @skatrumpet07 Yup, but as other comments have pointed out, I have made a few mistakes. ;o;

  • Trombone part is really out of whack, bro.

  • this is pretty, it makes you realize how brilliant this band really is... but ya hes right some of the notes are wrong

  • Eh, It's close.

  • @Piccleman You do realize that Finale doesn't play back in the style you want?.. If that's what you meant?

  • @BenskyBen No, I'm just saying some parts are incorrect.

  • @Piccleman Which parts? (This is also a rough guide for the band I'm in, we don't need perfect parts as we know the song well enough to know the rhythms)
