fuck man that is sick. im about to start bobbing out my 2002 sportster. which is gonna be a task haha the guy before me made it a sportster cruiser with every harley add on he could buy, and then he chromed pretty much everything on the damn bike. but im just gonna start with some paint and powder coating and go from there i guess.

Nice ride. I have a really small solo springer seat I bought from J&P and the set up came with a really nice cover that goes under the seat and over your electronics. Check it out, it really cleaned up my 08 nightster. Hey, how long are your shock struts... rigid is next on the list. Ride safe

get a weld on hardtail section and a new oiltank and a spring seat,you will sit lower,more comfy and it looks better too.Now it's a sportster with some bobber features

I did'nt think the spring seat would look right cause the frame is straight where the seat goes on the stock frame. Didnt want the back of the seat jacked up. I'm sure it would be more comfy tho.

Although allot more could come off, At least it's a REAL BOBBER. Not some motor put into a custom frame and calling it one. I call those Bobber "Type" bikes.

@jsr462 i have a springer seat on mine and it sucks. he is right with the frame being strait you have to find a seat that is flat and not curved. Hard to find.

@jsr462 I kept the stock solo seat on mine when I switched to the hartail struts. Your butt doesn't hurt like you'd think it would...but you BETTER lower the air pressure in the rear tire some, or it's a bouncy (aka HARD) ride! I loved mine, and had it on there when I sold my Sportster.

If you look he installed rods where the shocks would mount making it a rigid style rear end. Soft tail HD's use a single hidden shock mounted on the underside of the motorcycle, similar to sport bikes and most import cruisers.

I had and bike like that it was and 1985 few years back it was smoking and leaking oil like mad 2200.00 to rid the oil burner and leaker lol i fix it my self for 250.00 usd ring's gaskits some mill work that what cost so much and pant just  black primer and polly to make it shine like glass i sold it when i got my superglid. i sold it at 5200.00 that year molde good price if i had it fix i may have cost up to 3500 to do it? eny iders how much and h-d ENGINE overhall and new paint cost?

It looks insane already, it should be able to ride in about a week. Im having them do a jockey shift too, and a dished in tank, and a springer front end. Their hardtails are decent priced but they are alot nicer than the junk you can buy out of Drag. I looked at one of those Wyatte Gatling ones. No way was i gonna put something like that on MY bike. These are real nice.

When you said you sprayed the handle bars flat black, are you talking about using spray paint???? Did you have to use primer on the crome first?? I have some crome on my bike, that i would like to have black. I hate the crome oil tank and crome pieces that run along the side of the back fender... Thanks

Yeah I sanded the crap out of em and sprayed em. I didnt use primer but that wouldn be a bad idea. Its held up pretty good and hasnt flaked off.

Thanks! They're 12" apes from midwest motorcycle supply. They come chrome only so i just sprayed em flat black. You could powder coat em tho pretty cheap. I got the part # somewhere if you need it.
