  • Becomes an Oasis song at 3:00 min.

  • @lovereactionsong tha't funny, because today I had that part of the song stuck in my head...from 3:00 on and I couldn't for the life of me figure out what song it was I had stuck and as I'm trying to keep humming it over and over in an attempt to dislodge the rest of the song, my brain kept trying to turn it into the last minute or so of Stevie Wonder's "Part Time Lovers"

  • This song really touches me - from 0.00 min to 3.00 min. Then the song starts to be a progessive rock hippie fuck. I always stop listening to it when the guitar begins.

  • Maybe its something greater then that..Maybe god and the devil are two totally different things then how they are perceived through the bible..Maybe some humans just do some terrible things and have no one to blame but them selves..

  • The song is about the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. Google it up to find what each color represents.

  • I love the song, but I don't get it. Can someone explain it to me...?

  • @KiyoAyavi It's an interpretation of St. John describing the visions he wrote in the Book of Revelations.

  • This is the devil's planet. Check out Corinthians (I forget the exact chapter) but, it's there. The people on this earth are mistakend when they blame GOD for any and all misfortune, while on this planet. When, in actuality, they should realize, it's the devil doing all the dirty work to bring sorrow to this life. Maybe GOD allows the devil to do his hideous deeds, to test how much faith we have.

  • @lickfret Go to Hell.

  • We all will live to see the REAL Judgement of so called-"Humanity" cause Satan now rules the Earth with Great authority over most men and total POSESSION over the Corporate Elites and Money Powers that COMMAND almost all the World's Governments! • speechless by it's raw beauty....

    centuries ahead of its time...

  • At that time, there wher : Genius, Electronic tech grooving, and may be . . . Some acid !

    (For connoisseurs only)! ;)

  • 3 people dont like colored horses!...^_^

    i love this song

  • im glad that ppl still remember and others are realizing even now this band..and im gratefull to magman who uploaded the whole album

  • The drums and the wah wah guitar... loved it since I heard it in the early 70's in Australia. I remember jumping around the loungeroom playing air guitar to this one:) I also vaguely remember the cover having a coloured drawing of a car out of control...?

  • echt geiles lied kann man nciht anders sagen !!!!!!!!!!!!!

von daher 100% für diesen upload =)=)

  • this follows techno 32 beat punch!

  • Thanks for the upload and the detailed introduction. :)

Just two corrections: Demis is a Greek from Egypt, not a "Greek/Egyptian" and Vangelis' original name is "Evangelos", not "Evengelio". (Evangelio, which means "good news" is the Greek word for the gospel. The name "Evangelos" is the male form while the name for females is "Evangelia".)

  • 0.52 Drums send shivers and are epic....

  • this is real music !!

  • mine was given to me for free, still have it, classic stuff, they don't make then like that any more :-)

  • @ianuv that's a pity because this music is yet unsurpassed

  • in nomine satananis in hostis exidius

    ecce homo

  • @unabonger777, The thing I find bizarre, is the inner picture of the album. Kind of strange. BTW, my astrological number is 777. LOL! A great find, wasn't it? LOL!

  • Wow. I've had this album since 1978. I thought I was the only one.

  • What have I missed, We have always had this album in the house, didn't realise it was this good.

  • damn it smells 70s from miles away...

  • i hope its ok.

    greetz

  • The leading horse is white, the second horse is red, the third one is a black, the last one is a green. The leading horse is white, the second horse is red, the third one is a black, the last one is a green. The leading horse is white, the second horse is red, the third one is a black, the last one is a green. The leading horse is white, the second horse is red, the third one is a black, the last one is a green.
  • @aileenbirk

yeah that's what's playing in my head ever since I found this song again :)

  • And when the lamb opened the first seal, I saw the first horse. The horseman held a bow. Now when the lamb opened the second seal, I saw the second horse. The horseman held a sword. The leading horse is white, the second horse is red, the third one is a black, the last one is a green. And when the lamb opened the third seal, I saw the third horse. The horseman had a balance. Now when the lamb opened the fourth seal, I saw the fourth horse. The horseman was the pest

  • @Stunnastoat ohh...yes plz...if you can...whenever you have time could you plz send me a message whith the lyrics?plzzz

  • i can change it, if you wont!

  • Why does everyone below the age of 25 mention their age when it comes to rock comments?

  • @themistoklis1984 I guess it's because they (we) want to prove to ourselves that there are gleams of musical hope within our generation and that we aren't all into the hip hop, electro pop, 3 minute dirge that is marketed with youth in mind

  • @themistoklis1984 It's an ego boost for them to think of themselves as more mature, intelligent, and artistically developed. I don't think they realise it has the reverse effect of making them look like gushing kids desperate of approval.

  • @themistoklis1984 I think that's a bit of an assumption, when people under 25 don't mention their age they don't register. I think it's ok though, I take it as they're just acknowledging that it's not just us old guys that like this music.

  • @themistoklis1984 Im 20 years old !! Thumbs up?

  • @Unreeld no

  • @BadMotorFinger92 darn i so wanted a thumbs up bro. come one man im 20 gimme a thumbs up

  • this song is great i am from greece the one from the 4 horseman maybe is jesus with the bow and the leading horse the second horse is war the 3 one is pestilance the last one is death

  • The song starts slowly, gently, and culminates to an incredible orgasm.

    Wonderful stoner song.

  • Yeah, the later albums Vangelis has come out with since, are brilliant!!! My favorites are "China", "Direct", Heaven and Hell", "Antarctica" (my favorite) If you haven't heard these yet, I hope you find them really enjoyable.........as I know you will.

  • One of the really prog rock tracks in this great album for rock history!

  • It was 1972 when I went into the local record shop. I only had two dollars, so I went to the "Bargin Bin" to see if I could find anything of interest. There it was, all orange with the numbers '666' on a black background. Being that it was double album, I thought it was a good buy, so bought it, and played it on my stereo. We were all blown away with what we heard. The music scapes were brilliant. Had had fun after that. What imagination!!!

  • @lickfret I'm envious. :P Never had such an amazing find by sheer luck.

  • @lickfret I'm 23 I found this album I can't stop listening.

  • @lickfret haha, I had a very similar experience with this album, went into a book store and found the album for 50 cents, best music purchase I ever made, it never gets old.

  • @lickfret funny how these things happen isnt it

  • @lickfret My feelings exactly, what a fab album

  • @lickfret hi if you still have that record it will bring you a lot of money today !!!

  • Is this the guy who started Vangelis? 'Kinell, this is great. Why haven't I heard this before. Thanks for sharing. I recently heard the vangelis song "the dragon"for the first time. It blew me away. Hate cheriots of fire though. hahaha

  • @ginissimo yes- full name Vangelis Papathanassiou

  • Que rolota tan genial!

  • Oh wow. It started off sorta boring, but after about 2 minutes this song took a turn for the AWESOME!

    I'm fuckin' loving it. :D

  • C'est tout simplement le pied,l'extase a quand de la musique comme cela ????

  • This is f**king brilliant!!! One of the best songs i,ve ever heard..666 is for that time very advanced and it still is.Where,s music like this nowadays?I can,t find it....

  • one of my greatest influence in my music career,

this list would also include;sex pistols, thin lizzy, black sabbath, led zeppelin and so on.

    wonder how many others ????

  • This is so incredibly good!!!

  • JUST TO G DAM GOOD GREAT

  • I do not share your point of view magman, first of all, this is not a "important record" was rediscover in the 80's, but beore that nobody knows it; an important record is something that a lot of people listen and found something that makes the thing or life different in one or some ways, like must beatles albums; on the other hand vangelis did not make more records like this because in fact he get away from rock music, he still makes progressive, but no rock in any way, but

  • he has indeed some "very importat records" like chariots of fire the first record made with keyboards that won an oscar, that make people see that electronic is a great way of doing music; so lets get clear on one thing, im not saying that this record is useless or something lke that for me is a jewel that you have to find and admire because is great, but i know that is not something that had change the world or music history, but is really great.

    best regrds

  • ill slay those horses

  • awsome song

  • misterio arcaico...voz del presente...conexion al eterno.

  • tout simplement exellentissimo.......

  • He NEVER was a gay, he is a straight!

  • >was a gay

  • oh god I can't unhear it.

  • this is the silliest comment i ve ever heard about Demis!

  • My brother Tim, turned me on to this, back in the 70's. ..I will never forget it!

  • I had this album double about 30 yeARS AGO, IT WAS SO GOOD, NEVER HEARD THIS SINCE THEN

  • The influence and lyrics for this album became from the "Apocalypse of John" that was written inGreek island of Patmos in Aegean sea in 96 A.C.Profhet John heard the voice of god in Greek and as we know from the copies of the Apocalypse (the original was burned in the library of Alexandria that was kept there) 7 "windows" of the future was shown to him.7 critical moments for the human kind until the arrival of the "beast" and the four horsemen that will come before his arrival.

  • Vaggelis papahanassiou=GOD

  • GREAT DREAM!!!

  • One of my absolute all time favourite tracks, from a massively overlooked band.

It's my dream to see this song performed live on a beach on a Greek island with a thunderstorm raging out to sea...

  • If i was to choose only one greek record it would be either this or giocondas smile by manos hatjidakis.........tough one!

  • a re ti paidia vgazei i ellada!!!!ekpliktiko tragoudi..

  • F-ing brilliant! My friend had this song on a casette that she got from a greek friend and we did'nt know who it was with. I always thought it was Porno for Pyros/Perry Ferrell. The casett broke 12 years ago and we haven't heard it since until yesterday!! We bought the cd immediately. Demis Roussos and Vangelis, unbelievable! Love it

  • Glad i found this band, FUK YEAH!!!

  • yeah imba. zupper ubber great !

  • I just heard this song on the radio and thought it was a new Jane's Addiction/Perry Ferrel track. But the DJ said it as this, so I went to youtube to look it up. And it's from the early 70s. Wow. It sounds like an alternative rock song recorded new.

I see where bands get some of their ideas.

  • Yeah mate, I CAN see why you thought it was Jane's Addiction. But no, it's bloody Demis Roussos!

  • Yes, I'm glad you see what I was saying. First time I heard it, I thought it was Perry Ferrell. Now it doesn't quite sound like him, but it sounds really close. I'd bet Jane's Addiction listened to this. It's very progressive sounding.

I think the new "Prog Rock" was called "Alternative." Earlier Smashing Pumpkins was very "prog."

  • Where did you hear this song at? Was it on AM/FM or Sattelite Radio?

  • Heard it on FM alternative radio. I think it was on Indie 103 out here in LA. But that station just a few weeks ago went off the air and is now only internet based (I think).

  • i like it
