  • mai stato così bello il billy come nel '98 <3

  • SOMEONE KNOW THE DRUMMER'S NAME

  • @qualibotto kenny aronoff

  • @treesandballoons grazie

  • who is perfect?

  • He was a session drummer, also they were compensating for electronics and the lack of Chamberlin. He's a great drummer.

  • They already are perfect!!

  • @TI490M pussy

  • @ashkiller713 what? O.o

  • perfect :)

  • drummer sucks

the drummer don't fit in with the band he sound to much like a session drummer.

strange how a drummer can effect a band.

  • @jellyboy123 you talk shit

  • @road2ruins

you telling me this drummers as good as Jimmy you talking shit.

  • @jellyboy123 I didn't say that at all or mention Jimmy's name , you retard.

  • @road2ruins

You the fucking retard i said Jimmy's a better drummer and you said I'm talking shit fucking stupid fucking twat go back to school.

  • @jellyboy123 You really are a stupid cunt, I never mentioned Jimmy's name in original post. Now go back to school and learn how to read, you complete and utter bollock brain.

  • @jellyboy123 "strange how a drummer can effect a band." Okay I know the drummer sucks but you're a fucking dipshit for saying that. Every single member influences the band, which is why it's called a BAND. Doesn't matter if you're the bass player or drummer, the part you play is important. I'm a drummer and people like you are fucking idiots who only admire the frontman.

  • @TheJasongrodsky

    holy words mate

  • @TheJasongrodsky

    by the way...

I saw the same drummer at Rome, he was stunningly frenetic and kept all the rhythms faster and more elaborated than the records. I believe he was also a bit exaggerated at times, as he was breaking a shitload of drumsticks. ha ha

  • drummer loser

  • Adore was the best SP album in my opinion.

  • Played way too fast

  • @TheFuzzyMarshall the reason may be that you are retarded. fits perfect

  • why does D'arcy always open her mouth so strangely when she sings lol

  • Uncle Fester!!!!!

  • Holy Shit This Was Posted In 2005 , Even So I Love Smashing Pumpkins :3

  • james iha. period.

  • the drumer its a alien?

  • I was at this concert!! It's cool to stumble across it by accident. It was in the late 1990s on 53rd St in Manhattan for a Letterman show taping.

  • They sound great, I love this performance but that drummer is not nearly as cool as Chamberlain

  • drummer for the win!!!

  • perfeito !

  • da hora

  • hard to play outdoors but i think they managed well.

  • man, the live versions of adore are so good. Billy's voice is relaxed and you can feel some freedom the other band members get. Adore is most underrated album for me. James is also very good on it.

  • absolutely. Adore doesnt deserve the respect it should from both fans and critics. The music is different from the previous three Pumpkins albums but very refreshing and personal, I feel like I can connect with a lot of the Adore songs

  • Beautiful pop song with an absolute bugger of drum-pattern which really lifts the texture away from the saccharine.

  • Perfect

  • Perfect song

  • D'arcy and James need to come back..

  • amazing stuff man. the pumpkins were so great.

  • emphasis on WERE

darcy and james need to stop turning their backs on what they have created

  • they didnt creat nothing shut up

  • I fucking love this song. Probably favourite from Adore. Shame second

  • I saw an interview with Billy where he talked about writing this song. He said that the album producer told them they needed an extra track after Billy had finalized the track list. Billy sat down and wrote this song in like 20 min and slapped it on the album. Just think, it almost was never written, lol.

  • wow this version is good! I miss the old pumpkins...

  • So why not get Kenny back in de band?

  • because he's not smashing pumpkins. in the sense of he seems doesnt fit in like a pumpkin. i mean who really does fit in the pumpkins besides james d'arcy billy and jimmy but he playe the songs well but if it came to it i dont think kenny would have chemistry with billy thats usually why drums dont stick if no one can play a song wtih them or have chemistry. but thats just my opinion

  • excellent performance!

  • the drummer looks hella goofy

  • agreeed lol

  • the drummer is actually kenny arnoff, a very sucessful studio/ fill in musician. he also plays with john mellancamp. i still wish they had james though.

  • james left years ago stupidXD

  • haha that's not jimmy silly, that some dude who they got to fill in for him after he was fired. He did return to the band for the album and world tour that came after this one

  • sooo then who is this new dude? he's really good at drumming....

  • Wow! Jimmy's like wayyy enthusiastic at the intro- he's a really good drummer, y'know...And James owns the guitar like no one's buisness, same for Billy and his heavenly singing, and not many ppl can play the bass like D'arcy.

  • thats nott jimmy on the drums. its a replacement after he got temporarily kicked out for drugs

  • oh- thanks. Who is he? He's real good at drumming....

  • not sure

  • The drummer is Kenny Arnoff (correct my spelling plz)

  • you thought that was jimmy! do you know anything about this band?

  • jimmy left the band.. what else... The smashing pumpkins aren't the band we used to listen to . Too bad everybody left... james , darcy and now jimmy , fuck it :(

  • I do, a lot! It's just that i couldn't recoginize him; it's actually Kenny Aronoff who'se here whle Jimmy was suspended for heroin use, and poor ol' Melvoin died...

Only to return in their full glory in 1999!

    But D'arcy left......

    See? I know a lot!

    I'm not retarded!

  • yay wikipedia! lol

  • WoOt!

  • drummer taken care with the nose...kkkkkk

  • This song is PERFECT!

  • beautiful location, beautiful song

  • I miss the orginal lineup of this band.

  • same here

  • This performance is just like the song. Perfect.

  • I've always liked this version much better than the album version

  • Kenny Aronoff is such a fuckin' bad ass.

  • A perfect rendition of a perfect song..."Perfect" in every way.

  • damn right live is perfect.

  • you know it's not the end... perfect!!!!

  • coollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  • Damn this rules!!!!

  • does anyone know how james iha does that noise effect without an e-bow?

  • Fernandes Sustainer pickup. The guitar he's playing has a Sustainer pickup fitted, that does a similar effect to the E-Bow.

Billy also had one of them in one of his guitars (the Sunburst jaguar-style one he often played around this time) as well.

  • ok thanks a lot bro , yu helped me , but i got another question , wich pickups model uses James ? ´cause i´ve been searching on internet and are various models . Please , if you can help me again , i´llbe gratefull

  • This is where things get a little uncertain for me, as I don't know the exact model of James' guitar. It has a Humbucker-sized pickup in the bridge, which may be an FGI humbucker, with the neck pickup being the Sustainer unit. Fernandes themselves sell a Sustainer "kit" with both this Humbucker and the sustainer, which is made to fit like a single coil pickup. at a guess I'd say that's what James's guitar has, and I think Billy's guitar has that too. I may be wrong though. Hope that helps!

  • is this song from the time they played in berlin? got any more songs from that show?

  • This is in New York, homes. :)

  • this song is perfect!!! xD

  • awesomeeeeee

  • this song is awesome. great drums

  • Of course! is Kenny Aronoff, one of the best drummer in the world ;)

but Matt fits the band better IMO

  • can't get enough of this

  • i like this song soo much better live!

  • ALI G on the drums!! haha

  • hah

The drummer is so fucking good.

    Bad ass

  • AH, so good live!!! I really liked this drummers style .. jimmy's awsome to tho

  • look at the face on that drummers nose. pumpkins all the way !

  • Wow, for a Live song, I can't believe how good everything sounds together. And it's not a concert hall, it's a New York Alley!

  • i live in new york and i dont this this was filmed here...our FOX channel is 5, and knowing the smashing pumpkins this is probably chicago

  • you're both wrong it's in Cleveland, Ohio

  • bzzt

new york, you can see the hello deli

  • the hello deli is in new york(letterman show)

  • mmuy buena presentacion!!

    I love THis Song

    y el publiko muy prendidoo!!

ke les paso ...OSEA ES SMASHING PUMPKINS!!!

  • just perfect

  • HEY..THAT PUBLIC LOOKS LIKE A STATUE FOR TREMENDOUS SMASHING PERFORMANCE!

Hey...Un poco más de onda el público che...terrible temón!

  • I love the way this whole album sounds

  • they should have named this album "mellon collie & the infinite sadness"

  • pretty sure that was already taken

  • Billys voice is so beautiful in this video a really great peformance.

    Love you SP!

  • yeah he is going fast, but i think that it suits the song, and it complaments it well

  • even so, he looks quite obnoxious compared to the others.

  • you think he had any say in the band? Billy (more than likely) told him to play it that way, and why not? it sounds awesome

  • if only it were jimmy and not kenny. but i still love this vid.

  • this drummer is grain of sand compared to the all mighty JIMMY CHAMBERLIN.

  • Fucking true dude, Chamberlain is the best.

  • now this is true SP, minus drummer couse he drummed kind of strange..Notice how D'arcy backs Billy perfectly with her voice..Irreplaceable!

  • You can take lessons from that drummer if you live in So Cal from the lesson house (google it) and click on Kenny Aronoff

  • I don't even think this is Matt Walker on drums.

  • It's Kenny Aronoff

  • dude stop talkin shit about the drummer, he's a very good drummer.

  • that isn't chamberlin !

  • one of the great SP songs imo..awesome live!

  • THAT WAS FREAKING RAD!!!!

  • It was all going so well with billy, james and D'arcy at the front, but then you've got some middle aged bold guy who probably still lives whith his mum jumping around in the background like a lepricorn with a smile which resembols one of a pedo. Glad they brought back jimmy

  • how does Japanese dude know what solo is?

  • billy=amazing voice

    d'arcy=amazing bassist

    jimmy=amazing guitar skills

bald dude on drums=stop looking like you are mentally challenged

  • bald dude on drums is sick.

  • you

  • bald dude on drums is Jimmy chamberlain, a bad ass drummer with a ton of energy in his music.

  • He's not Jimmy dude, his name is Matt something, he's the drummer from Filter the Pumpkins hired to replace Jimmy after he was removed from the band. This fool can't hold a candle to Chamberlain

  • no it isnt

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Jimmy was out of the band cuz of his drugs issues... that was Matt Walker, he sucks hahaha and Jimmy rules!

  • hah, well hey man, i dont think that matt sucked, i mean give the guy some credit, sure he had some big shoes to fill to take the place of jimmy, but i think matt did a pretty nice job

  • and I made an error hahaha no he's great but it's not Matt Walker in that video it's Kenny Arronoff or something :S hahaha Yeah Jimmy is still the drummer needed

  • best perfromance of this song

  • Good performance, but I wish someone would post their SNL performance of the same song from Sept. '98. I have it on tape, but the picture quality is really bad due to the fact that we didn't have cable and had to use 'rabbit ears' to get the local channels.

  • holy shit what a great song

  • WOOOOHOOOO KENNY ARONOFF!!!:D:D

  • lol kenny arnofff. yeeee

  • 'A group of immense potential, delivering thick walls of My Bloody Valentine noise scorched with Sonic Youth's approach to melody, all topped by a flame of androgyny floating through the vocals.' - Drowned In Sound records

like the sound of it? please check out my profile and video.

    http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=venus85

  • sounds exactly the same as any other music

  • When abouts is this from then? Around the late nintie's some time right?

  • Not bad for some Chicago kids...

  • Kenny Aronoff. Forgot they had him for a time. Who knew they could find someone goofier looking than billy.

  • STFU

  • Great performance!

  • god i looooove this song yeah ty for sharing
