Great story but the low budget stunted the potential for this movie by a lot. One setting and annoying characters questioning for most of the movie is not interesting to watch.

Watched this film the other night, It was just terrible, the script for the story line was alright, but the acting was shit and ontop of that who the hell wrote the characters? It's like they opened a book of "How people don't react in each situation" and copied it word for word! I give it 3/10, only because the guys heart attack at the end made me nearly pass out with laughter, if that wasn't in it, 2/10

I just watched this movie yesterday for the first time, and beforehand if you had told me that most of a movie (whether it be this one or another) takes place on 1 set, i wouldntve watched it, but this movie is brilliant. Especially considering the budget. Even with the lack of action, i was completely into this movie start to finish, and have watched it twice now in 2 days and im sure ill be watching it several more times.

This movie was pretty awesome. A low budget film with some bad actors, but the creativity of the writers was absolutely amazing. There isn't one film like this in cinema history. MUST WATCH!!!!!
Just watched this... What a fascinating movie. A true definition of the phrase "thought provoking". The end with the doctor on the doorstep cheapened it a little in my own humble opinion but all in all a brilliant piece of work. I've always shared the same view of religion (not the common factor of one man of course) But have always believed the reports of Jesus to be an exaggeration of someone trying to teach buddhism. Also liked the brushings of existentialism. Truly a work of art.

This movie had a very small budget and only one setting but the originality of the storyline, the acting and the engaging/claustrophobic way in which it was delivered culminated into what I think is artwork. One of the greatest things I have ever watched.
This movie is good food for tought, especially for someone who likes to dig deep into history and theology, tough I really dont recommend it to anyone expecting action in it.
Excellent movie, though sadly the people most interested in this sort of material will find the arguments well worn and introducing nothing truly new or thought-provoking. Those who haven't explored the topic, and those who most badly need to, typically aren't the type to follow what is basically an 80 minute conversation... no matter how compelling.
It is an enjoyable twist, though, using the immortal caveman angle to weave together an exploratory narrative to some very big ideas.
I randomly found this movie on NetFlix a few months ago and was completely awestruck at how simple and thought provoking it was. I mean all they did was sit in a room and talk for an hour and a half. I couldn't stop watching it. One of the best movies I have ever seen

I loved the tensions among the characters of wanting to believe and yet suspended in doubt about their own spiritual beliefs, preconceptions of the world and beginnings of humankind. Superb acting, great plot and storyline. well researched and well written. it definitely is one of the most underrated movies of the decade. the people who were involved in the making of this great film should all be extremely proud of themselves.
This is the best movie I have ever seen. I am so impressed of the quality of the film considering it's obviously low budget. I wish that the film could be remade with actual footage of going back in forth through the course of John Oldman's life. Spectacular film no matter which way you look at it!

Just watched this... What a fascinating movie. A true definition of the phrase "thought provoking". The end with the doctor on the doorstep cheapened it a little in my own humble opinion but all in all a brilliant piece of work. I've always shared the same view of religion (not the common factor of one man of course) But have always believed the reports of Jesus to be an exaggeration of someone trying to teach buddhism. Also liked the brushings of existentialism. Truly a work of art.

hello,
a movie somewhat similar to this (not in story but in ... how should i say.. in kind of brain-cinema) is "MOON (2010)". its fascination is not effects or action but the strange situation of the main actor itself. what the world is he is living in an his feelings etc. you can watch the trailer here on youtube but the trailer itself is a little misleading. the film is not actionlike.

Most intense movie set just in a living room and out front of a house with 0 special effects, unless you count background music. The special effects budget for the trailer probably exceeded that of the movie itself lol. I love watching this movie with people who have never seen it before.
I sense... space, and a latitude of what we happily call reality, and as everyone keeps saying... anything is possible--No! No! No words! I'm gonna go home and I'm gonna watch Star Trek for a dose of sanity.

@NaziOmega Yeah, this movie doesn't have fancy graphics, was filmed by a porn director, and has effectively one setting throughout the whole movie. But don't judge it before you see it. In my opinion (and in that of the majority of people I know who've seen it), it is still one of the two best movies that made after 1995 and on a budget of $500,000 or less (200k in this case, Christopher Nolan's "The Following" being the other)

This movie had a very small budget and only one setting but the originality of the storyline, the acting and the engaging/claustrophobic way in which it was delivered culminated into what I think is artwork. One of the greatest things I have ever watched.

Excellent movie, though sadly the people most interested in this sort of material will find the arguments well worn and introducing nothing truly new or thought-provoking. Those who haven't explored the topic, and those who most badly need to, typically aren't the type to follow what is basically an 80 minute conversation... no matter how compelling.
It is an enjoyable twist, though, using the immortal caveman angle to weave together an exploratory narrative to some very big ideas.

I randomly found this movie on NetFlix a few months ago and was completely awestruck at how simple and thought provoking it was. I mean all they did was sit in a room and talk for an hour and a half. I couldn't stop watching it. One of the best movies I have ever seen

I enjoyed this movie. I imagine it must be a challenge to sustain a script on one setting. I loved the tensions among the characters of wanting to believe and yet suspended in doubt about their own spiritual beliefs, preconceptions of the world and beginnings of humankind. A refreshing gem in the world of horribly written 3D mega hits.

The movie requires no mental capacity, it's just flat out horrible, and the fact that they have to rig the IMDB voting system with fake reviews just to get people to watch it says it all. Dishonesty and aggressive propaganda doesn't suddenly make the movie (if you can call it that!) any better.
I repeat to anyone who hasn't seen the movie, the IMDB voting system was high-jacked by a bunch of dishonest people. Even look at the favorable youtube comments, LOL!

This is the best movie I have ever seen. I am so impressed of the quality of the film considering it's obviously low budget. I wish that the film could be remade with actual footage of going back in forth through the course of John Oldman's life. Spectacular film no matter which way you look at it!
