@theBradlands Howard's "language" is standard music notation - like classical guitar sheet music. His knowledge of music theory and music arranging is vast and he has near perfect pitch. He was once a studio musician and can read ANYTHING first time through. I actually spend time with Howard when I can, but many times he'll but an arrangement in the mail. Part of my learning process is transferring his notation into Finale and is the way I can hear how the arrangement sounds.
@AhnkoHonuUkulele Thanks again! I've got two songs recorded...."in the can" as it were...but CDs are expensive to make. I also need more time to practice the songs before spending money in the studio.

I'm curious. How did you learn these from Mr. H.? Tabs? Sheet music? Or were you perhaps together so he could show you? Forgive my naivete.
