  • a portfolio of 44min : 22sec.... a long portfolio, but a nice 1.!

  • how did u managed to upload 44mins long video on YT???

  • the dream of my whole life *-* go to SVA in 4 or 5 years when i finished graphic design on my college :D

  • inspiring!

  • hey watch my-------SVA in class ART-----Video

  • parsons>sva

  • @gnutsrocknroll nah dude SVA>parsons

  • Cool work , liked it.

  • Lord of war!

  • no sound :( .. have you uploaded it elsewhere?

    btw 5* !

  • that was the most amazing 44 minutes of my life.

thanks for that! and thanks for shrooms!

  • wads the name of the soundtrack? before its removed..

  • i'm going to get into this school, one way or another... but i will!!! masters.

  • Wow this amazing, you put so much work into it....so how is SVA is it a good school????

  • I hope your question's a joke XD. SVA is one of the best art universities in the Eastern hemisphere of the US. Check out the website :3

  • are there any other good schools for motion graphics\etc. that are NOT as expensive in nyc? its SO hard finding a decent one :\

  • I dunno, I think that Pratt is less expensive than SVA, but only slightly. It's also very well reputed :3. Then your next choice down is like...NYU or something? :/

  • hey Buddy! Thanx a LOT for the reply :]

well..i dont live in the U.S, and i wanna come to study in nyc, but i have no money, lol :] id have to find scholarships for that. So going to a school that asks for 30,000$ a year, is out of the question i guess :] i heard that community colleges\city colleges ask for 5000-6000 a year! but i didnt hear of any in nyc. i dunno how "bad" they are, though :] i wonder bout NYU.but i bet its more expensive

  • Well, it's fact that any art school is going to be horribly expensive. And any school in NY is going to be expensive XD. NY is a world capital, so that automatically makes it expensive. And then you want to live there as well? Brave! I go to school at Rutgers NJ. IT has two good campuses. Newark campus is good for graphic design--that's where I go. New Brunswick is good for Fine Arts. They have the Mason Gross School of Arts there, which is good. Tuition isn't bad--about 11 or 12000/year

  • brave :] lol,but i cant think of any other place to study or be!i wanna experience nyc!but money is the main issue here.but i bet it isnt impossible!im now in israel, finishing my degree in communications+management and i might be on the Deans list.dunno if itll help me get a scholarship,as an international student, but i hope it will!how do i find scholarships?and is there a good chance of finding external ones?[that the school isnt funding?so maybe ill have more options to cover dorms as well?]

  • SUNY& CUNY (city/state colleges) are only cheap to the residents-- if you're international you probably have to pay a lot more than 5000-6000. same goes with people who's coming from different states.

  • Youre Serious!?how do u know that? :\

damn! seems like its all bout money, huh? u buy your education.well, i just wish at least that there were some GodDamn Scholarships in this kind of field [arts..etc].Because it seems like the only scholarships are in the Computer\Law\High-tec and all the boring stuff's studied :$

WHEN it also comes to SO MUCH money,i start thinking-what field worths all that money-to study it? So Motion Graphics studies seem less contributing, than 3D Animation 4 example!

  • there ARE scholarships out there-- you just have to look for it! you can't sit there and expect someone to pour you with applications and where to find them. there's hell of a lot of scholarships out there, i've even seen ones where you're eligible if you're like 6'2''tall or something, so there definitely are art related scholarships.

  • and if you think about it-- law/med schools are like 10 years of studying which is a lot of tuition, for classical music a real good violin bow costs like few hundreds, motion graphic your program probably cost a thousand and fineart/illustrations drain their money on finger-sized paint tube costs like 20bucks each. they all have their prices, you just gotta excel at what you do best so you'll earn your talent at the end, you know?

  • plus.. you can submit your stuff to competitions to get prize money too. you really have to get yourself out there and look for things if you're really desperate for it and if you mean to be serious.

excuse me for longggg rambling lol

  • hey!what u talkin' bout? :] lol, your not rambling-youre talking straight up! respect! :D

Bout Scholarships-i do know that i wont get ANYTHING if i dont get my ass of and find some!BUT,im not really living in the U.S. i wanna be an international student, and its Really hard to get decent info only thru emailing those schools. they Never help! i need to actually fly to NYC and talk to ppl. show myself. Also, should i look for "external" scholarships?cant rely on schools internal scholarships only!

  • part 2>>

About getting out-there, and posting stuff for competitions..well..i have! ive won a 2nd prize for best documentary video once, in this international competition, BUT, the thing is that its normal editing [my first passion], and its not really relevant to Motion Graphics, or whatever. So i dont have alot of stuff to submit cause my experience is little, and i dont have lotsa works.. :\ [guess its another reason for making internal scholarships-impossible to get :]

  • there are only so many scholarships offers from schools out there-- you gotta look for outside scholarships. that's what i meant when i said you have to look for it yourself. all the scholarships the school offers should be on their website, but there aren't much out there besides those that are given by the schools

  • dont limit on yourself to look for scholarships just in 'motion graphics' there are scholarships for short people (like me but i'm like 3 inch too tall for it -_-;), tall people, atheletic people, political students, scholarship for certain nationality, etc

    make google your bestfriend.

  • short ppl get scholarships? lol, thats cool! i really hope that scholarships are still a relevant thing after the whole economical crisis going on lately. bad time to ask for scholarships. But,i didnt quite understand. U say there are lotsa other scholarships. so,where could i get an organized info bout em? theyre obviously outside of school, but besides nationality based scholarships, i didnt hear about Anything else!

  • P.S-google is a Friend indeed! but i still feel like Nothing could be solved through using the internet ONLY, in my case. it just seems like i HAVE to come to the U.S,pay a visit, just to show myself to the school, and to potential scholarships-"givers". Because untill now, i sent SO many emails, and got Replies to 75% of them, and almost All of this 75% seemed like it was an automated reply! not helping me with squat! so i got no one to talk with, while im far away from here :\

  • Not sure if anyone has mentioned this or not, but check out fastweb(dot)com. You basically make a profile online and it tells you what scholarships you're eligible for. It's updated all the time so there's always new scholarships, too.

  • thanx for this! :]

i dunno but i have a feeling this website wont gimmie something new. itll talk only bout US residents also i bet.. all the websites are like this.

still, thank u for replying dude :D

  • pratt actually costs more than SVA, by like.. $10000.

i chose SVA over pratt cause i couldn't afford it (and SVA was closer to queens lol)

  • Oh my bad :X. Either way, I wish I could have gone to one of those two schools...

  • well...SVA doesnt have dorms...so thats why its cheaper.imagine if ur not from Queens...like me? :\ ...ppfff...i think its better to not study, and just intern. i will never have money for this shit.. :\ maybe its just better to intern, and get better "on hands" experience and go straight for a job :\

  • SVA & Pratt both have dorms. SVA is still cheaper, at least when I was applying for colleges 4 yrs ago

  • ill never be able to get a full scholarship. ive heard fairytales of this stuff happening, but maybe to true geniuses.

what do u think about studying, bottom line? i bet its a must, but im not 18 anymore :] [27] and i hear quite alot of students saying their degree didnt help them a bit to get where they are. so it seems only hands-on approach is better. on the other hand..to get that chance- u gotta get hired..and i bet studios will prefer a person with a degree in Arts and not something else.

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • miss you jeff

  • i wonder how long it took for u to

    render this

  • why is this 44 min long?! holy crap!

  • wow. what a long assss reel

    amazing

  • lol deeeeerrrr hoooooooffff!

  • Amazing making !! good job!

  • Spend your dough on a G5 and buy Lightwave, Maya, After Effects, Editing and Camera. It's what you'll need to make it in a highly competitive field. Nepotism. If you don't know the word look it up. That's showbiz baby. Art school is like a gym. You go there for the tools, but many instructors are egoists so beware of their mindwash attitude...Just be you.

  • thats advice poeple should pay to hear, you 100% right.

  • WOW you really dont know anything. its justified though... coming from a college dropout. dont listen to this idiot film is great (past freshman year) computer arts is the best in new york second in the US next to RingLing and the fine arts illustration graphic design and advertising all tie in together and are fantastic

  • nice !

  • is this school really so bad? I got accepted (I'm going to be taking illustration) and I've been doing everything I can to try and get there... . _.

  • it's good

  • i wish i could make it in.

  • Very cool!

  • One year on that school, couldnt make it..how sad. But that school kicks ass

  • almost 12k dollars per semester. I'll be in this school this comming spring!

  • Where can I get better quality?

donde puedo obtenerlo en mejor calidad?

  • second one starts with a sonic youth sample haha

  • i wish i could lean how to do this ... GRR

  • Well done.

  • Incredible...I gotta go get a glass of water.

AS Charlie Brown said.." I thought I saw a

horsey and a doggie (in those clouds)."

  • hahahah they're all the same

  • Jesus, what an amazing display of young talent !

  • good

  • Very, very cool...

I would love to collaborate with some of your students.
