Philip J. Berg has had his request for a stay of the Electoral College denied.

Berg filed a request with the Supreme Court on Dec. 8 to stay the voting of the Electoral College. Justice David Souter turned down the request, which was designed to delay the vote until the Supreme Court rules on the case.

The Electoral College is scheduled to gather and cast the votes to elect the president on Dec. 15.
