While many artisans featured here on the tube, are highly skilled turners, they leave much to be desired in terms of "watchability"..You are gifted in both, and I'd say that puts you in the smallest minority! Try a concave edge. Makes a larger cutting surface by wrapping around the work. Old professional turners do it.
