  • Pretty lights <3 Can't stop me now

  • All this love for Doom/Gheedorah and RZA but none for Nas?

  • This isn't quite the whole song because RZA's sample doesn't come untlil the end of the song where the lead singer isn't singing with the rest of the group

  • Imma make the best sample of this ever, better then nas, rza, mf doom, mathematics, ill bill and mos.. be on the look out!

  • Anyone got any tabs for this funk jam?

  • oft sampled track, youve heard DOOM's and RZA's, check Mathematics' sample in his track 'Gansta' off his debut album Love, Hell or Right. Peace!

  • CLASSIC

  • MF Doom sampled this track too ♥

  • N!!!!!CE

  • Good lookin classic

  • what awesome track !!! i heard it on mayweather vs mosley 24 7 video !!!

  • resampled by rza= you can't stop me now!!

  • The Temptations also Covered this song

  • @Bookman Temptations were original singers. From the "Puzzle People" LP.

  • ♥

  • No matter how hard you try, you can't stop me now!

  • Wow man. Shit blows me away. Been a die hard old skool hip hop fan for years but this is just something else. really deep meaning

  • rap songs using this sample:

    King Geedorah - Anti-Matter - 2003

    Mos Def - Undeniable - 2006

    RZA - Can't Stop Me Now - 2008

    Nas - You Can't Stop Us Now - 2008

obviously Mos is a huge Doom fan but Nas and RZA are just biting

  • no way...Doom sampled this first? Tight!

  • someone needs to do a remix with all this verses in one song with all samples in it... SICK, and when you do, send it to me ; )

  • i always thought of that.... they should perform that... like takeover BET for one day and show people real music...

  • A Bambaataa & Soul Sonic Force-Renegades Of Funk:)))

  • Mos Def and Nas just rapped on top of their beats, they didn't make them... so if you're going to blame anyone, blame the producers

Besides, every producer is or should be aware of the risk that someone else could make a similar-sounding beat when they get into sampling. That's just part of the game. Plus, a sample this dope and easy to take, it could just be a coincidence.

  • @stranded48 ILL BILL did his version after MFDOOM and before RZA and Mos.

  • @BadMutha75

    which track???

  • classic and amazing.

  • Mos & Nas Versions Are ILL!

    To Dope.

  • theme song to my life!!! i pump this every morning

  • I really miss bros. like these from "back in the day." My father listened to a lot of songs like this one and from him we all grew up learning to "square our shoulders" and to walk with pride.

    Stay up responsible BLACK men!

  • I heard the temps, the spinners, and now this one.I like all three. they are all very similar.

  • the mos def sample was crazy

  • whats it called, i love mos def.

  • undeniable

  • if you haven't yet, try the cover made by S.O.U.L. in my opinion, one of the funkiest, <ith the melody played on flute.

  • I like this version, and the temptations version of this song. I don't like the Spinners to much.

  • All right! I have this 45 also, but the label on mine is black. I need to hear the Temptations version.

  • one of my fav Tempts songs, interesting to hear a remake from the Whatnauts

  • not Message to the Blackman (Elijah Mohammed)message from a Blackman ...How Many versions ?? at least 3, how many samplez ...?!!

  • Nas had a good time sampling this joint.

  • Same with RZA, and MF DOOM, I really like this sample one of my favorites...

  • Ill Bill on a track called Unstoppable produced by Necro, uses same sample

  • Ill Bill used the Don Julian & The Larks version

  • someone needs to up this video again.

  • And now RZA is using this on his new Bobby Digital album

  • Comment removed

  • And then Nas use it on his Untitled album....

  • why dont this vid work no more?

  • Was just playin this record in the house man, great stuff, classic.

  • p.s. is it me or does this vid not play?

  • must be u man - still plays for me :)

  • big tune

  • FIX THIS SHIT!!! This THE version with THE bassline!

  • @mmdoof What's that you hearin things tat tat tat tat?

  • Eddie Kendrickss he ain't, but it's okay.

  • no1 said he was eddie kendricks.

along with the meters, the whatnauts were one of the baddest groups that ever exsisted... plus most of their songs had a very positive message to share... and the best u can give back is 'he aint eddie kendricks'

  • halalbad ,Hey man! The Whatnauts were nice! they are from my hometown, Baltimore Md. they did a nice remake on this! I'm just partial to the Tempts version, no harm done. Let me ask you something,do you know if another local group from Bmore Called The Vandels with Damon Harris before he went to the Tempts, did the Vandels do a version of this also ? it's been a long time ago.One of my favorites from the Whatnauts, was I'll erase your pain! that was the jam back in the day!

  • I like version better than The Tempts big time.

  • I thought the Vandels did a version of this also. WOW! the 70's smokin!!!

  • Nas & Rza used the sample in the same year. The whatnauts R up!

NO MATTER HOW HARD U TRY U CAN'T STOP ME NOW!!!

  • Yeah man that tripped me out when I heard Nas used it too! And then I heard some other song on Pandora (I can't remember the artist name), but they used it too. This song is obviously popular.

    DOWN SOUTH!!!

  • killer track. also sampled by mos def in the song undeniable on true magic.

  • i see that wu like this song a lot, first Mathematics sampled it for "Da Gangsta" on Love Hell Or Right (Da Come Up) (2003) and now RZA took it for "You Can't Stop Me Now" from Digi Snacks (2008), anyway The Whatnauts got some nice message for all people...

  • Dope!

  • rza

  • So this is where Bambaataa got the chant for "Renegades of Funk"! YOu learn something new every day.

  • Believe this was originally written for, and recorded by, The Temptations, but not released as a single by them. This soul gem was the very first chart hit in 1970 for this group from Baltimore, featuring Billy Herndon doing the Eddie Kendricks-like vocals. Reached #19 on the Billboard Black Singles charts that year, their biggest hit.

  • King Geedorah. Nice song tooo.

  • u mean King Geedorah ft. MF Doom & Mr. Fan - "Anti-Matter"

  • Yaa there we go. I haven't heard it in a while.

  • wait i dont understand... wut exact part is sampled... the dont sound anything alike...

  • The loop that runs in Anti Matter is the opening of this song, and MF and Mr. Fantastik just sing the chorus

  • they told me they sampled this song to make "next levels"... this dont sound shit like "next levels"

  • mf doom is king geedorah .. and its mr. fantastic :p

  • @Xpinger King Geedorah is MF Doom...same guy different alias
