Ning is a rip off. The advertise it as free to lure everyone in and then change their minds and decide to charge. And either you pay or get deleted! All based on a free platform to beat it all off. And some will say their plans are reasonable but look closely at the plans they offer. The basic is cheap yes, but what they offer is no more than a bae bones with basicly no customizations available. Don't fall for their BS find another site to host your networks on and teach them a lesson.

Ning is no good! They traded their "Open Social" networks for Closed and Limited Networks controlled only by Paid Sponsors and Corporate Media.

As a Ning creator I have to post my complaint about Premium Service's princing: That is very expensive indeed. Besides paying $10.00/year for a domain we still have to pay $5/month ($60/year). At WordPress and Blogger one can have his own domain for just $15/year. Let´s reconsider that charging

on Ning how do you get a sound for the chat application, like if i send some one an invite for the chat room they don't know unless they check and if their was a noise it would be like ichat so you get notified when someone wants to talk to you

They do not have that accessibility yet. However I have in addition to their application, I embedded Para chat..... this allows privacy, sounds, avatars and more. My members like them both. Ning's chat to see who is on and for general talk, and for the pop up capability of Para Chat.

Ning is just like Freewebs, very easy to use to create a site. I already have created three successful sites using ning. If anyone out there wanted to ever make a site that would be better than myspace, this is the place to get ahead start.
