@HarukaMagical Actually yes, that is currently what I"v used, I've recently ditched my old component out cable in favor of the HD AV Pack, seeing as I can use my own quality cables, and it also has the Digital optical out port which allows me to get Dolby Digital 5.1 out of the Xbox. I will actually be doing a video about the HD AV Pack in the next few days. Thanks for reminding me ;)
Hey, i am getting a rip-off component cable for my xbox soon (already in shipping) so i checked out this video, and i really like the style of your channel, so i'm subscribing :D i love to keep video game consoles the way they were meant to be played, and i have an HD tv, and my chewed up standard A/V cable isn't doing it justice. I also got an original "Duke" controller for it because all i had were 3rd party controllers and a beat up S controller. the duke is my favorite controller ever!!
@psychoclown420 I'm glad to like the channel man, welcome aboard.
Yeah, I'd definitely say Component is the way to go, I have since replaced this cable with an official Xbox HD Pack that way I can get not only component out of it, but Dolby Digital 5.1 out of it as well. I also found out, through a test that the reason that cable looked so bad, was because my Xbox has a damaged video port. Testing another Xbox did not have the same effect.
Those lines on the screen are usually due to poor shielding in the cable. I've bought S-Video cables for the N64 off Ebay that all had the same problem. First-party cables usually have the best quality, but we have no choice when the first party cables aren't available anymore.
Thanks Tennessee, yeah I really wanted these cables instead of the ones from the Xbox site, because those come with just a box, and you have to supply the component and the stereo audio. It also would have come with an optical jack as well...but...oh well there. These cables were about 7 dollars online or so, those are about 20. Besides, I play on the TV that I show in the Border Down video, so I won't even be using the HDTV for Xbox, I do use it for 360, and occasionally Soul Calibur 3 on PS2.
