Took me awhile to read all the comments, but I really love the article. It proved to be very helpful to me and I am sure to all the commenters here! It's always nice when you can not only be informed, but also entertained! I'm sure you had fun creating this channel.
Wow. Thankyou for sharing. I certainly did not think about this particular issue in that way before and it opened some serious discussion for me on this topic.
I thought it was going to be some boring old post, but it really compensated for my time. I will post a link to this page on my blog. I am sure my visitors will find that very useful.
I created a WordPress plugin that allows you to take YouTube and Embedded video from your site and add it automatically to the sitemap. It does many other things too, like allows you to add third party urls to the sitemap and getting them added....etc
hey Nelson. Oh wow no. You need to tell the guys to use a real teleprompter, or if you are using a teleprompter, to place it well. Your eyes are close, we can tell you are reading something that is below the camera.. Please fix that, is annoying (thanks for the info).
If anyone figures out the loc or player video sitemap string for a YouTube video, please post. Contributors to the Google Webmaster Central forums are wondering - as am I.
I see Google Video always redirecting to the website containing the video. Is the "allow_embed" attribute of the "video:player_loc" element still useful in the video sitemap?
@ShareTheDark That is a good question. I also need an answer about that. And for Youtube or other video sites, we wont know the raw video location. But im sure if your video is on youtube you dont need to do anything to get displayed on google video results.
@mathieuveilleux, @ANDITKO, @tharealkovo, @ShareTheDark, @warcrych Good questions. The "allow_embed" attribute is at this point more metadata to share with Google. Its previous primary purpose to tell Google whether a video was embeddable or not, but that feature has since been deprecated. As for the raw video file location, Google extracts signals used for ranking with the raw video content. For example, the actual duration can be computed, the resolution, etc ...
Channel unusually interesting and informative

I was very disappointed with the google reps answers which sounded very evasive at best. They need to do better. thanks for trying.
