You're so sweet! Usually I don't make it through an entire blog like this because it gets boring, but yours is excellent! :-) I'm from Israel and here we've had about 4-5 productions of the Buffy musical, most of them in the "Rocky HPS" style like you guys, and we even had a production which was all Hebrew, all the songs, all the dialogs, thanks to a translation by an incredibly talented girl. It's so nice to see that Buffy fans all around the world share similar "rituals"...
Fox just inserted its corporate ass into the picture and isn't letting these singalongs to continue. Why? Probly cuz they're not making money on them. Corporate greed boooooooo!
Ahhh!! I was there that night! Soooooo much fun... and I am going to dress up when they come again in December! I would've dressed up for this one... but I got the tickets a half hour before the show started. Go craigslist!
Thanks so much for putting this together! I was actually the girl volunteer during the first Buffy-oke segment. :) The guy I was partnered with was so awesome! He did such a great job getting all over dramatic, lol.
Oh, God, thank you for not putting footage of that horrible girl up. Yeah, I don't understand why she thought she had to be all sexy. It was very disturbing. I actually was wondering if she was drunk. 0_o
You both totally rocked! I was thinking how it would be so much fun to watch entire Buffy episodes that way. Especially the Hush one - I would probably die laughing.
And yeah, I am assuming she was tipsy. She had better have been. There's really no excuse of quoting that American Pie line so many years later!
Thanks! :) I agree, if I had to watch an entire Buffy episode dubbed over that way, I think I would die of laughter. The Hush segment was awesome! Especially the lines about the parking brake and the birth control, lol.
If they come back next year like they said they would, I'll totally keep an eye out for you. I definitely would have answered questions for your blog, and I think others would have too. Buffy fan's are the best! :D
Cool! I was at that show, a few rows up from where you were sitting. Thanks for sharing the footage! I can't believe I forgot about the people with the dry cleaning rushing the stage until you reminded me of it. That was brilliant! :D
Thanks! I wish I had thought to pull my camera out more but I was having too much fun and I didn't wanna spend the whole time looking through a lens. I'd love to have gotten footage of the dry cleaning folks!
BTW, I totally agree with you - Buffy is my favorite character too!

Hey there! I just saw this today. Thanks for coming to the show and for the review. "Less drag, but still pretty gay" may be our new tag line!
I added your video to our Buffy Sing Along MySpace home page, and as soon as we get the show started again I'll definitely let you know.
PS - Guys ALWAYS make the best Buffies during Buffyoke.

I was there with mauzozo and some friends...
I'm so glad you posted this - it brought all the fun back :) If they do this again I'll get my friends to dress up if you get your friends to!
For the record on favorite characters:
mine = Willow (I have somehting of a crush)
my g/f's = Anya
also: we couldn't stand the "band tramp" so badly that a few of us used her performance as an excuse for a bathroom break..

Hey, I accidentally gave your comment a thumbs down when I meant to give it a thumbs up. Sorry!
I am all about dressing up the next time. At the very least me and my boyfriend can reprise our Gentlemen costumes from a few Halloweens ago.
Yay, I am glad everyone was equally against the band camp girl. She just so missed the point!

I will definitely ask you questions for it! And you have to wear your awesome "Joss Whedon is My Master Now" shirt again. Where did you find that??
ohnochriso 4 years ago
I freaking love my shirt. :) I got it at the Power Star Collectibles website, but it doesn't look like they're selling it there anymore. :(
