@Planjane69 Bodom is waaaaaaaayyyy better than Evergrey. Singer for Evergrey is better. Maybe even lyrics. But Bodoms music is much better. It just insane and their musicians are much more talented. Technically, Alexi Laiho is a way better guitarist. The rest of the band is a lot better too. I ain't hatin on Evergrey just saying.

Everygreys guitarist is more from Yngwies cloth. Trying actually playing half of evergreys shit and half of cobs shit and see which you can do first.

I'm tired of hearing on countless Evergrey videos: they're so underated, they need more fans etc. Not everyone can handle the complexity that Evergrey actually delivers! Those who can, usually fall in love and follow the band in awe and loyalty to the end. Which results in a really strong and awesome fanbase! Isn't that the beauty of it? that just a few chosen ones are invited to feel the epicness behind the looking glass of Evergrey,instead of a big disloyal taste-apathetic fanbase of sheep ha!

@Planjane69 Evergrey is a very technically sophisticated band. They are however VERY private. People read a lot of wrong conclusions from this, like they must be satanic or something. These guys are actually very intellectual and dont relate well to people, thats all. I work with them at ProgPowerUSA every so often when they come(this year they're coming). They are the still #3 in Holland behind Epica, and Delain. But thats not bad considering the following those have.Tell people about Evergrey.

I remember stumbling upon this band completely on accident, and loving the song "I'm Sorry" that I heard from them. A few months later, I decided to listen to a few more songs by them. I only had to listen to "Blinded" and "Recreation Day" to know that I had found an amazing band. To this day, I still can decide between Evergrey, Dream Theater, Alter Bridge, Kamelot, and Opeth which one is the best!

@MetalFromHeaven94 Although you list some good bands, NONE ARE THE CALBER OF DREAM THEATER.The body of their work, the number of albums produced & sold, and their world wide acclain.DT is in same level as Journey/Foreigner/Def Leppard/and Rush. evergrey is a very good band and I actually know them, but really they are the #3 band out of Holland behind #2 EPICA, and currently #1 Delain. Evergrey is a little dark for some people, just not nearly as so as Kamelot. Check out Nocturnal Rites.

I love Children of Bodom, but on some songs i just wish Alexi to shut up. The instrumental part is very much more than perfect but the singing is just terrible. Evergrey has awesome instumental parts on an alternative way, and the vocals are fantastic. I think CoB and Evergrey should have equal, but fucking much more fans.

But be happy as long evergrey is underground, when they get alot popular they maybe get the taste of money and trying to do mainstream songs, but I doubt that will happen =) Evergrey rocks! And they play live so good, it's great!

They're just melodic metal, that's it - not progressive or power. Although they were certainly a ton better than most melodic metal bands, and most power/prog ones too. :) Post Inner Circle...they kind of sank down to mediocrity. IMO.

progressive metal and power metal are the best music its true music, here are a few other bands for people to check out of power and prog,,, symphony x, circus II circus, angeldust, iced earth, circus maximus, pyramaze, annihilator, celtic legacy, to mention a few of the best in my opinion also kamelot, stratovarius and helloween, fuck dragonforce way way over rated check them other bands out and youll hear real power/prog metal music, evergrey is of corse on the top of this list though!!!

Progressive Metal is the best genre, not Power metal. Evergrey is Prog Metal but mixes in Power metal elements. Its like Symphony X meets Dream Theater, with Iced Earth thrown in. listen to As I Am from DT, its got a similar style to this song but different at the same time.
