Battlefield 3: Whats in store for BF3 in 2012?

I would also like to see the console version given a spectator mode as well as a private match, kinda like a custom game with your friends to be able to change like damage modifiers or like infinite ammo, but not earn any points towards ranked matches. Anyone else agree?

@clonewars22 i do, it should be able to choose the number of vehicles like 6 planes instead os tanks and more choopers instead of the planes, it would be a super stunt looby and races, real crazy shit

You know, I really liked having new weapons in the Karkand DLC. It would be really fun to have new weapons and dog tags with each new DLC like Karkand. And it should be pretty easy with there being so many guns in existence. Also, EA and DICE have a nice concept with dog tags.

i think it will be coming more weapons since (did you play bf2?) since in every bf2 expention pack it came almost over 15 new weapons in each + it came out 3 dlcs to bf2

I really hope for a NYC DLC map. They already have the resources for it from the campaign mode. I hope it isn't in the sewers or something (like part of the NYC campaign level) but spans across the harbor, maybe a bridge, and includes fighting in the midst of sky scrapers. Maybe some carrier action? Also hope it's at night, there aren't enough night maps in BF3. Well, I guess that's my spiel.

I already know all the maps in the next DLC. It's an all American map pack including, New York City, Miami, San Francisco, and Morristown NJ. I know this because I live in Morristown NJ and one of my good friends in school actually drew the map for Morristown and sent it in. They are going to use it in this map pack.

as for the new dlc, i believe they said it was a well know american city, i think that new york would be hard to do well with the forstbite 2.0 engine, cause you cant collapse skyrcrapers without serious scripting, i believe san fransisco would be better due to it being smaller :D

Karkand DLC for me showed how un-inventive new map design has become. Each flag in Sharqi for example is it's own unique mini-map. A flag in a TV studio, on top of a construction site....I've had some epic battles in that TV studio. Maps these days just seem to make a nice surrounding with a few choke points, then stick a flag in it. Maybe a draw-back to designing maps for Rush AND Conquest. I only play the B2K maps now and really really don't miss the 9 maps the game shipped with.

There probably is not going to be anymore new weapons, because they B2K weapons came just because they were in BF2 and I quess they developers wanted to bring back more from BF2 than just maps.

They already did BF Vietnam (& another in BFBC 2). Besides Dice was involved in developing Medal of Honor (2010), w/c is about the Coalition Forces VS the Opposition Forces.

As much as I like console games and the Battlefield series, BF3 was far better as a PC game. It's an amazing game, don't get me wrong. But on console it just....doesn't feel right, is the best way I can say it.

@MrMexicanZombie I can record with fraps but I just don't like the framerate hit it gives me. Why play in 70- 90 FPS when i can play in 100-130? I turn down the resolution because my hard drive speed isn't fast enough to write 1080 with DxTory, something which I'll eventually fix when I get another HD in the near future. -- Also I feel like its easier to see people on Low settings so I make a sacrifice there.

@intheworksmedia And the pc version isnt that much better I played quite alot of it at my friends house. The 64 player maps felt the same as 24 player maps and as for the graphics if the xbox or ps3 could handle antialiasing then it wouldnt look any different from the PC version.
