J'adore ce groupe que les pays du sud de l'Europe ne connaissent absolument pas et je ne vous parle même pas de la France... Et pourtant, c'est un groupe fantastique...
WOW! I was at this show!!! First time I'd ever seen or heard the. Remember having a bad cold that night and was freezing, but couldn't pull away from it, until maybe the final song of the night - have been completely hooked on them ever since.
LOL Dave only appears five minutes into the video and not at all in the interview -just shows the humility of the man, not pushing himself to the front. OK so Troy does a lot to make the band distinctive, but Dave is the power that drives Iona..
Iona...some of you have a clue, some merely speak of them like a metalhead talks about Metallica. People, you cannot just try to mortalize the sound of this amazingly talented ensemble! I was fortunate enough to be at their very first u.s. appearance which was c-stone 94...they played the true tunes stage-a much more intimate setting. Again, words do not do that experience justice. It was especially significant because the legendary Nick Beggs was there!
I have loved Iona since their first album and Book of Kells.. Their haunting celtic/rock/folk, and jazz fusions weaving heart felt Christian lyrics that someties just lift me up.
I've read thru the years how Troy played the US Nat.Anthem on the pipes...now I've heard a few bars! Awesome footage - certainly the most awesome band ever. Sir Jim's right!
My husband and I were there in the audience that evening 11 years ago when Iona played Cornerstone. Outstanding and awesome, even though they were really tired. They remain my favorite all-time band.
Was there! and pregnant with my first born, Charles!

This band is insanely talented. The Book of Kells is a work of true genius but all their albums are excellent.
If you like Iona, you might well like Mostly Autumn and Wolfstone, too; try them out!

WOW! Talk about blessed! I'm envious; I've loved Iona since I first heard them in 1990. I'd give anything to see them perform live.
