Could you please tell me what size green egg to buy? I usually cook for my wife and 2 kids, but also like to entertain friends and family on occasion. Is the large green egg big enough for $850, or do I spend the extra $300 for the big green egg? Someone told me the Big Green Egg might be over doing it a bit. What are your thoughts?
@tjt929 stay with the large... big enough for a family of 4 or 5.. if you regularly GRILL for more, go for the X large.. but the large is big enough to handle most grilling's for a family of 4 or 5. Smoking large cuts of meat will give you plenty of food. the X large will go through a lot more charcoal also.
I visited your website, there are no videos! Apart from one on pizza that you have to pay for. I think I'll handle my learning curve from other sources thanks!
the best cooker is a traeger and there is no learning curve, eggs look nice but i will stick with my traeger, i never open the lid till the food is done
I'm sure it's good for 'low and slow' if you like pellets vs. hardwood charcoal, but I also grill steaks and chops at high temps. bake bread, and grill foods like chicken and fish at moderate temps....so I prefer one cooker. It also keeps food moist because of the thick ceramic walls--something a metal cooker can't do without using a container of water.
sorry dude... this video sucked. keep talking with the smoke in the back... next time cook something instead of yapping the whole time.
