  • this plane doesnt need a ejection seat. look at the wing on this plane..it would glide very well.. this thing rotates at the same speed as a piper saratoga.. would be a great jet to transition into ...

  • my buddy scott carol took me doen too see this jet in it's first stages it was bad ass then and now i have seen there is a 2 seater how much is it 2 take a ride it would be a dream come true!!

  • How many hours does it take to get one completed?

  • 5000 -6000 hours if you are serious !

  • Have a Viper Day !

  • FAST JET !

  • This is exactly the aircraft I have always dreamed of owning, Now, where or how do you get a million dollars.

  • Realestate.

  • warghost: Sorry, but you are a little under educated in the fabrication process of this aircraft. All subassembly work is done at a professional shop using jigs and fixtures with a quality assurance program in place. I personally ran the project program at CU for about 5 years before Viper pulled it out. I also did the retrofit of the new wing to their fuselage and even went flying in it with Len Fox. This model is built lik a brick s**thouse as it is.

  • im not gonna pay a million dollars a for a jet made in someones garage. its like paying a million dollars for my own death this is not a joke question but is there an ejection seat in this jet?

  • there is not technically an ejection "seat" but yes there is a method of ejecting with this aircraft. If you really wanted a true ejection seat, im sure it would not be hard to have one installed

  • @fhjeffery your right! you can see the ones that Martin Baker makes for the US militery.........could probably fit in there.

  • If i worked at the viper company, I would punch the video producer in the mouth.

  • BEAUTIFUL AND CUTE PLANE

  • Amazing Jet ! Great video ! The music sticks perfectly to the jet!

BTW, what's the name of the song?

  • "El Phantasmo and the Chicken-Run Blast-O-Rama (Wine, Women, and Song mix)" by White Zombie ... from the disc "Supersexy Swingin' Sounds" ... several other tracks on that disc rock every bit as hard.

  • Thanks for the information !

  • VipeJet is do to release a new aircraft called the "Viper FanJet" extending the range to 1,500 nm, increasing cruise speed to 450 - 500 kts as well as increasing cabin and cargo space. Final cost should be around the $1.1 million mark.

  • What's the specs/performance? Looks similar to the T-38 or tigershark jet.

I'm actually more impressed with the BD-10, because it is similar to the F-15. Too bad they did not re-design the horizontal tails after the fatal crash.

  • crashes...

  • Specs of the Viper MKII:

Gross Weight Stall 77-82 kts * Cruise Speed 350-460 ktas * Range with 260 Gals. 750 nm with 30 min. reserve * Range with tip tanks 1000nm with 30 min. reserve * Climb rate @ gross weight 5100 lbs. 8,000-12,000 fpm * Take off distance 1,200 ft * Landing distance 2.500 ft - 3,500 ft * Rotation 85 kts * Empty weight 2,700 lbs * Gross Weight Full Fuel (2 pilots) normal 5,000lbs * Seating Capacity 2 * Fuel Capacity 270 Gals. * Aircraft Length 25.5 ft

  • I hope that the crash you are refering to is not that of our gear up landing in Van Nuys California, in which we suffered only supperficial damage. In fact, that actual demonstration jet is within two weeks of flying once again.

  • @ViperJetMrkII No he was referring to the BD10 crash that stopped that project. It was probably 10 years ago, your plane wasn't even on the paper yet.

  • Your more impressed with a plan that has flown and self destructed several times causeing the piolt to die. Obviously you are not interested in owning any of these. This is a real aircraft for real people with familes and a future not an experiment that doesn't work.

  • lucky dog you!

  • how much do these cost overall?

  • 300,000+

  • any max ceiling data? What about max range?

  • 29,000ft to 49,000ft.

  • No it is caped at FL28. Basically becuase it ensures that normal pilots can fly it. Not people with heavy airtransport licenses and a decade of experience. Abover FL28 you need specialised Altimeters and licenses. Its where all the big heavies play. A decision they made to make it more accessible for the person that earns money, then flies not earns money by flying.

  • Want one, really really really bad.

  • That's an understatement!

  • heck ya!!

  • I must have one of these :c)

  • No kidding!

  • Nice factory footage- how about some FLYING footage? Some rolls? Big loop? Split-S? Cuban 8?

  • very soon we will ave some new footage of the new and revamped MKII. We are going to Van Iese in California for the show.
