I wonder if it is possible that you do not have to kill the boss, Because I know in Deus Ex 1. You can either run away from the boss, or knock him out and get away with it.

No you have to kill him because once this scene starts there's no way to leave that area. Also the Boss asks you to find more info and you can't do that unless you beat the sh-t out of this guy and get him to talk.

@MAT0R0 Yeah you have to kill all the bosses but they don't count if you are going for the pacifist achievement...
