  • I love Ron's songs. I think for myself that they are GREAT. Keep on going Ron. God Bless you.

  • I really must comment on this song... Ron you hit home to many who stood outside detox. ..I love to write songs and created some songs relating to addictions..Thanks Ron this works for me.

  • Ron is brilliant when he sings this song. It speaks to so many from his soul. God love him. He's amazing!

    Thanks Ron,

    Adele Rosenbloom

    Brian McKinnon

PS - We love you !!

  • never there Few survive to talk about that damn tall hill, the long walk up and the wind so fierce up at the top, up there. To the Ship & Friends in distant places and memories of good friend's faces Thanks Ron, airborne
  • I am an American who spent a few years in the maritimes. I wish I could get back to Nova Scotia. He brings back a lot of memories. The US needs some of these folks to sing here.

  • @folkmusic1000 Nova Scotia is nice but I dont want any confusion. . Mr Ron Hynes is from Newfoundland- not the Maritimes.

And great American folkies? What about Dylan and Guthrie and um. . . Peter Narvaez (though he is Blues and only hails from the States, he lives in Newfoundland as well!)

  • Geez - I've listened to Ron for quite a while and sort of took a hiatus - I'm back home and...there is no place like home.

  • I have never heard this Ron Hynes song, it is really amazing.

  • This song "Dry" is available on his latest self-titled "Ron Hynes" CD.

  • I had no idea Ron Hynes was so old.

  • I think you mean 'timeless' not 'old' ;)

  • This is only a small sampling of what this Newfoundlander has done for the music scene in Atlantic Canada. Most of his lyrics would be more appropriately called poetry; poetry of the class of Leonard Cohen.

  • my lil bro was visiting P.E.I last year and he came home and said "wow Ste you gotta hear this guy Ron Hynes everyone there listens to him"....Good on my lil bro, i adore this song and i'm hooked now...Amazing!

  • Don't think 'nice' is the right word. Interesting and enthralling and sung by

like a man who's been there. Shades of

Merle Haggard there. What a great voice.

  • Nice song
