The girls isn't a bad actress, but the script sucks. They make look katara like a crying and disgraced maid, when she is really an strong and independent woman. She is the team`s mother. In the movie she's a nuisance weaky girl.

@FabienneBisel People hated the film (if you can even call it that much) because- not only did it do an awful job of portraying the original footage but it was, from start to end, just a really bad movie.

I think I'd almost rather watch paint dry than taking on this damn movie again. It was so, so bad, and how Avatards could think otherwise drives me insane.

Because I think that's where they made their mistake in TLA, she Sokka looked too caucasian. Her & Sokka were based of Inuit eskimos. They are a light tan color on the series.

@Lexia01 I understand what you're saying about characters belonging to a certain ethnicity and that the movie should follow this. I don't care really either way but I'm not discussing that. What I'm talking about is these silly accusations of racism in the movie. The movie was directed by an Indian so I doubt he thought non-whites were evil considering he was one of them. This movie sucked, but it's not racist.

@Lexia01 Yes, the director had superiors but it was his job to make the film. If you have a problem with the casting and think there was some racial motive then take it up with him. I don't think he or Paramount Pictures think non-whites are evil and that's why they made the Fire Nation people non-whites. I heard the reason was that since Zuko was Indian the director wanted the rest of the Fire Nation to be similar looking. Not sure if this is correct but that's what I heard.

She's a horrible actress, she delivers all her lines with no soul. It's wooden and empty. She doesn't even seem like she was taking it seriously. But it's not all her fault, she had a really bad script and director to work with.
