  • bunch of cry babies

  • Where the hell am I in all these, Chris? I see plenty of you and Dave. lol

  • f 798 buddy system

  • Im married to a pipeline operator, never been in the unions was off for 5 months last year and still cleared 100 thousand...so before you start running your mouth maybe you should get your facts straight..and yes they are right if it was for them pipeliners your lil fagot ass wouldnt have any gas or anything in your house.

  • Ease up on the Wendy's and Kfc.Jesus Christ!!

  • And rednecks RULE!

  • If it was not for rednecks and hillbillys there would not be no pipe line ,no power plants,no buildings of any kind , no aircraft workers ,no steel workers . So to that asshole who thinks all rednecks are a bunch of brainless dilholes your way off the mark and you don't no shit .

  • @pipeape202 you're a fuckin idiot! These rednecks and hillbillys are responsible for all the oil and natural gas being piped across the country! Think before you comment, dumbass!

  • I worked on pipelines for 5 years after I got out of school and it was the most enjoyable work I ever did, now I have been a pipe welder for a refrigeration company for about 20 years doing mostly out of position welds with a 6010 root and a 7018 cover, some places want their system tig welds only which makes no sence because everything has a strainer in line and after the first start up they have to be cleaned anyhow, I figure it's a decision by a hands off engineer.

  • Pipelining made me what I am today and I never owned a card. Crossed many 798 picket lines in my day. Heard all their threats and had to fix some equipment that the cowards vandalized. But I always made sure they knew where I was staying if they wanted to take it further after quitting time. Strange, but I never had to deal with them after that.

  • @rogerswriter prolly because you were never there. You were too busy licking the spreadmans ass, begging him for another penny so youd have another one to rub on the one you earned the whole job. But I doubt it because you prolly spent it on your rods and fuel for your welder. But hey atleast you got to taste gold when you were busy licking ass.

  • nobody but rednecks and hillbillys work pipelines. Just look at the video, all of them need a shower...

  • @pipeape202 They look like that because when you work on the pipeline you live in a camp and dont have acess to hot water all the time so shut the fuck up you little bitch and think before you speak. I know welders or who you call 'hillbillys' that are making 200k before taxes which I can guarantee you is more then what you will ever make in a year.

  • @SuperDutchImmigrant i agree with u superdutchimmigrant, we look like we havent had a shower cuz guess what, we work with, u guessed it,dirt

  • Ive worked with a guy named dennis jones out of local 798,havnt seen him in years, but hell of a welder!

  • This space is intentionally left blank.

  • Kick ass video with kick ass song.Weld away fellas.

  • 798...low down and dirty dudes

  • I'm thankful for the pipeline work that my husband is doing. Yes, he has to be away but at least its work. I hope to go with him when the girls are finished with school. I know he hates bein away but he does it. anyway I agree he does whatever it takes on his job to get it done and get it done right.

  • @ moseseseses- Pipeline has afforded me and my family a great life.Don't knock it, slander it's workers or pity us for doing it. I'm not a welder, but I've been around them for years. Our welders do quite well, you should just worry about yourself and your jig. Once again, this is a great profession with good people from top to bottom. If Pipeline is not your choice, don't slam us for doing what we must to support our families. Good day.

  • wish i was a helper so i had time to take pictures. lol

  • 5 generations off 798 proud to be union brother

  • Good job brother! ALL UNION ... ALL THE WAY...EVERY DAY! Keep up the good work.

  • Man KICK ASS

  • GREAT music n video thanks for the hard work!

  • Much respect to the 798'ers, but it takes the cooperation of every single hand out there to make a spread successful. From the welders to the operating engineers to all the labor hands, it takes every one of us. Nothin finer than a pipeliner!

  • I want to give all my welding buddies something to think about. Everyone you will ever work for does 3 things. They 1. Purchase steel, 2. Build something with the steel they purchased, 3. Then they sell what they made. Why do welders keep doing this for the fat-cats, making them richer by the day, when they can use this same simple formula in their back yard and reap the fortune themselves? Purchase your own equipment, and find a product to build, and go in business for yourselves.

  • I'm one of the old timers, that even though I'm up in age, am still blessed with the God-given health to keep on welding. I have worked union, and non-union, inland and offshore, have worked on so many different type of projects during my career, and believe me, I have found out that you can make more money welding in your back yard on a jig table, building the right project, than working on any of these other jobs for other people, or companies.

  • Please don't anyone email me telling me I'm against unions. I have worked and belonged to enough of them to prove you wrong. But just like offshore welding is not for everyone, pipe line welding isn't either. I love to stick weld pipe, but I feel more rewarded as a welder when I can layout, fit, and weld projects from the ground up in my own yard, and make more money at it, than if I was on one of these jobs.

  • @moseseseseses Why does everyone else have to weld in their back yard, because you like it? Maybe those guys like welding on the pipeline. Maybe they need the benefits to take care of their families.

  • There are so many projects that welders can manufacture right in their back yard and make a fortune, and never have to bring their family out on the road, where their children and wives have to listen to the bathroom wall language of other disrespectful workers dishonor their family members. If morals means nothing to you, go on a pipeline job. I wish union reps would put a stop to how their workers talk in front of family members that travel on these jobs.

  • I'm sure there are some swell people who do this work, and if your back and muscles can handle it, and if this is what you like, go for it. But when you can sit right at home and make $3,000.00 or more a day on a jig table in your back yard, and sit down and sip cold tea when you want to, You can only conclude that a lot of these welders are shorting themselves.

  • Is this quality life? These poor welders are really being taking advantage of. Believe me, there are such better welding jobs that pipe line work, cleaner, less laborous, and more money making, and with benefits. I like stick welding, always will, but there are finess tig jobs indoors with full benefits that a welder would enjoy far above this rat race work. If you are a burnt out beer brain that has no goals in life, this will suit you, but there are better welding jobs.

  • @moseseseseses Name one. And this magical job you speak of that you do in your back yard with a jig table? What is it? These guys make 100K in a half a year by busting ass and relax the other half. That would suit me just fine, "burnt out beer brain" or not.

Oh and by the way, STOP FLOODING EVERY WELDING VID WITH YOUR STUPID FUCKING AD.

  • I understand everyone has to provide for their family, but im able to provide a little more than you because of the union. Your just jealous because rats are the only things you fit in with. good luck with that!

  • all you that put down any welder, rat or union, you are pissing in your tucked in Ropers and don't know shit what it takes to become a Qualified welder or fitter. You better know how to fit, if your going to amount to a good welder... pipe or structural. 43 yrs exp.

  • Unions are killing the economy.. Thanks guys for destroying the country!

  • @p20 Hey You better have some respect for welders! if it was'nt for US welders there would be alot of things fucked up and not built or fixed! If I ever did any welding for you, I'd make sure the welds are strong 4 all the shit talking you do bud! Us welders are going to keep on welding!

  • @p20 You cannot lump pipeline unions in with the SEIU or any others for that fact. Pipeliners are different. If you're one you'd know. I've held a laborers, teamsters and an operators book at one time or another. We do what we have to on the line... We work 12-20 hours a day. We support 2 households. We take care of our families, friends. We put more money into small town economies than most would believe. We do all this for a paycheck and gratification of finishing a job.

  • fuck fight and weld pipe!!

  • sorry dude, but pipeliners around here(Oklahoma) make way more than that, maybe move here and give it a try, work is picking up a bunch

  • where is the work picking up?

i will be finnishing pipeline training at local 3 in California

    in Mid Feb

i need a place to go

  • mongration its not unions that suck its your pole smokin mom that sucks!!

  • @pizzlemj LOL how old are you, 3? wow

  • Your a waste of skin mongration. I guess unions are different in that toilet of a country you call home

  • Mongration I understand your comments now.

Your from Oklahoma. Zero education, inbread, and a real life hillbilly.

    Please shut your hole douchebag!

  • @pizzlemj lol ur an idiot!

  • Ha Ha I just got called an idiot by someone from Oklahoma. The lowest life form in the USA . The irony. You should comment on videos your know about like widdlin sticks, tossin salads or bangin your sister.

  • What's that ? 8" or 12

by god you don't even leave a footprint

I'd love to work the distribution in the summer after seeing this, all we have up here is prima donnas and swamp

prima donna welders in dry holes and swamp the operators have to keep them out of

    Nice and flat there too.........

just a job out of rock everyday would be nice

  • powerhouse's, now that's real welding, sch 160 20" in place, with heat on it. tig root and hot pass on a compound bevel then xx18 the rest of the way,,,,,, maybe 3 day's around the clock we are done. now you down hand cowboy's give that a try... before you get excited im a union member. go union or go home...

  • In my humble opinion the union is great for wages and benefits, so I give credit, but the attitude of most 798 hands i've welded with was shitty. Lazy ass wobblers and hotpass draggers. You get a clean pass thatway but leave wagon tracks for the next hand....

  • I worked as a pipeliner 25 years ago it was a nice job, now I work as a welder on ammonia pipe 1' to 16' all of it is out of position just about got 22 years doing this liked pipeline better.

  • yeah im a rat. im only 21. will admitt i got alot to learn. i own my own RIG, not a piece of shit with a bobcat and a couple grinders. building my second bed this fall. would love to give 798 a try soon. seems like they are the only rigs still on the road. great slide show.

  • not bad. 2 bad its union hands! ant nothing finer than a TEXAS PIPELINER! lol great video man.

  • Well neal nash learn to speak english properly then i'll listen to you and in my experience its the structural welders who cant weld and are dumb asses

  • Good video man...another motto "laying pipe all day and all nigh Dam right!" I make over 100k every year since I started operating on the pipeline...I worked my way up from a labor..I dont see myself doing anything else. Everyday out there is a blast..

  • Nothin smells like xx10 rod burnin at high heat downhand!!!

  • This may give an idea whats its like but noone knows till they step in our shoes, am i right 798ers?

  • Great video. Im a #392 pipewelder. We do it uphill, but id like to try sum xx11 down hill. Dont teach the rats. rock on

  • I've been a structural steel fitter/welder for about forty years. Most of this pipewelders that I have had to work are stupid, can't read a tape and the only rod that know is a 5P E6010

  • How many X-rays get done on structural steel? How many structural welders bring home 150k a year? Enough said

  • i worked with 798 and it was the best time in my life good times and good people

  • SEE MANY PEOPLE I KNOW IN THERE

  • KILLER MAN WELL PUT TOGETHER

  • Nice pics mate.

  • This might give you idea of whats its like to be a pipeliner.
