  • you guys are talkin about his poor training.. while hes knockin people out... smh

  • 'wat ga je met die beelden doen? Die mogen niet op youtube hè.' haha

  • Блядь, я один увидел на заднем плане лысого типа, который пришел жать штангу в брюках с туфлями и часах? ))))

  • This is not ernesto

Hoost what some of u think hahah but somebody of reat gym (a public gym)

  • Really bad trainer i see!

  • Rotfl, You Tube, the home of World wide experts who have never done shit profesionally.

  • needs to train at a different place . this is a commercial gym with many nonfunctional machines

  • i think this program is actually effective...he worked on the core, back and hips thrusts which are not only effective in k-1 but only in grappling and jiujitsu

  • Hahhaha!! I hear Nigerians in the background speaking Igbo!

  • 5:55.....

  • that training may look wierd, but nevertheless he is a great K1 fighter - so it cant be that ineffective.

  • @dutchpkzlove My gammar is stronger*

  • surely its not power training!!!

  • I'm not some meathead but I'll tell you those deadlifts are wrong.

  • hes not trying to build muscle. he's trying to keep muscle. theres a difference. he most likely likes the speed he has now, he likes where he's at, and for a kick boxer, he's right where he should be. great fighter. he's the professional, not any of you kids knocking him.

  • @frankmartin44 well said my friend!

  • then at 14:40 the guy was like "No, im not looking at you" (lays down after those 20 seconds of watching him, ha ha i found it funny.

  • that song just had to come out at that time didn't it? 12:50 ha ha, tyrone your a beast though, that song don't phase you...

  • Ok for one thing using his performance in the ring as a grounds to say that his strength training is properly programmed is flawed logic, many athletes can be successful in spite of a lack of thoughtful periodisation. I'm not knockin Tyrone Spong he is one of my favorite fighters but I agree with videomike this is not optimized training. His strength coach isn't even having him stick to proper form on the deadlift, if he got a real strength and conditioning coach then he would be even more beast

  • @Freshdealy57 Good comment! exactly what i ment. I was "burning" his strenght & conditioning and especially the trainer.. But this has nothing to do with his performance in the ring! Just that this training made absolutely no sense what so ever..

  • his training is not pure muscle building its alot muscle cardio i think more then power training. ppl here that piss his training of are wrong. honestly which body builder can beat tyrone? NO ONE. tyrone will beat the shit out every body builder in the ring.

  • Doing abs before deadlift seems very weird to me, but anyways, he is amazing in the ring so it works I guess

  • @Thaibox I agree with you sir, this to me is what this looks like. @videomike chill dude Does this sound reasonable to you?

  • @MrLABXI hahaha my only regret is that I can only like your comment once xD

  • Seems to be a lot of trainer hating going on... so on another topic, is it just me or is there alot of Alpha male sizing up in that gym? Those dudes should lay off the training for a while, all that testosterone is affecting their egos... Tyrone would murder all of them!

  • Respect, people don't stop talking arround him, they don't even train, they just talk like if they where in a cofe shop

  • they're putting him to much in front of camera's instead of focussing on the real deal.what i see here is all just for show. i hope it is cause if this is his training now he has no chance for world tittle.

  • A lot of experts here. While you guys are all trying to look like Arnold, Spong is breaking people's livers.

  • @frankmartin44 exactly , you dont need alot of muscle mass to be strong , power comes in alot of sizes and shapes !

  • @frankmartin44 Word.

  • @frankmartin44: TRUTH! All the insecure clowns trying to build more show muscle but NO time training Muay Thai or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, muscle heads are a joke (and this is coming from someone who is NFL size).

  • @espada9 haha dude have you ever actually worked out like a bodybuilder? Its not easy at all, and very different than training for muay thai or any other style of fighting. Two different forms of training for two very different things. Don't hate because someone doesn't want to train like a professional kickboxer

  • I think most of u guys that r trash talking his training need to remember that this is being filmed, it's like a media day. Most fighters dont go full out and show everything thing they do during training when the media is filming. They dont like to show their opponents how they train.

  • I think he meant just a joke with this vid he should train harder than that for sure :)

he looks like who is having rest before the fight but move himself a bit ..

  • omfg fire this crappy trainer wtf ..... just look at badr training or overeem.

  • @fermierul21 this is just a small part of his strength training and for camera's he hasso many other trainers , this is nothing .. the boys a machine and trains just as hard if not harder than badr and overeem , go watch some othr videos

  • Rayen: Wat ga je met die beelden doen. Die mogen niet op Youtube he! hahhaha

  • Great fighter bad trainer

  • i like him as a fighter but his trainings are bulllllssshhhiiiitttt

he needs a better trainer and he gotta push himself alot more as well.

  • Im sorry but this is the biggest bullshit training i've seen in years.. There is absolutely no cohesion in his training? what is he training? U should tell what phase he is in just by watching the vid, can't tellfrom this one. Im sorry but he needs a better trainer! and don't get me wrong. i can see what they are Trying to do, but there not doing it well and that messes up his progres

  • @videomike219

100% right. This is just incoherent rubbish. If tyrone has explosive/power, it has nothing to do with this training and more so to do with his natural abilities and development in kickboxing over the years. This guy is robbing him blind. He's fucking wearing jeans to train his client for gods sake!

  • @videomike219 that's why netherlands have the most dangerous fighters in the worlds...and spong is of course one of the best of the best.

You seems to be a specialist ...

  • @dadiartist I see some sarcasm in your comment... Well yeah im a specialist on the subject.. But im not talking about his fighting career nor his fighting style/record. Im talking about THIS training. And i've been reading some comments like @ThaiBox7788 ; Even if this is a media workout, a workout like this can fuck up a routine for a week! and like the comment from @frankmartin44 ofcourse this isn't a bodybuilder workout. Any retard can see that. but the training he is doing can be ALOT better

  • @dadiartist and btw i Am from Holland

  • @videomike219

well a lot of kickboxers train that way here in germany and the netherlands.its usually splitted in

    day1: deadlifts,pull-ups, bench press

    day2: squats,bend-rows,military press

between the days is a rest ofc,but i gotta agree at some point with you, some exercises in between are just unnecessary like this boxing thing with dumbells

  • @Wc3ALifestyle it isn't even the exercises but if you read my first comment it says it's Incoherent. So What is he training here i can't say what phase he is in. how many weeks out from a fight is he? is he training for a fight? Is he doing strenght, speed, stamina, Coordination?he is doing all. That's why i said i see what he is TRYING to do but he can do it Better! the focus COULD be more on strenght or musclemass for bigger opponents while between fights whilst for a fight technique& stamina

  • @videomike219 sorry i thought his record said his training was perfect. oh but i bet your just one of those gym monkeys

  • @reiseufc131191 Lol read the comments. Not a gym monkey although i love to work out but especially athletic and sportspecific training for muay thai and MMA... So maybe you can call me a gym monkey, but that'll be one with a masters degree in sportscience and one that manages a gym that trains world class athletes inc a gold medalist (not in fighting).. So i really don't know what im talking about while commenting one this vid.............. ;)

  • BLAHHH BLAHHHH BLAAHHHHH.....BRING OUT THE MEASURING TAPE SO WE CAN COMPARE COCK SIZE....SHUT THE FUCK UP....you havent made one constructive comment only blowing your fucking horn about the shit you claim to know....POST A FUCKING VIDEO....or are your "SKILLS" to valuable to simply post on you tube????? @videomike219

  • @MrSisterfister100 People who shout and add comments like this are the ones who don;t know what they are talking about. Read the comment : @Freshdealy57 made..

  • @videomike219 lol yeah because you say you train gold medallist and have a degree in sport science that means so much over the internet dont it you fool, anyone can say what they want over a computer, for all i know your just some fat nerd sitting in his bedroom. obv this training is effective as spong is one of the premier kickboxers in the world.

  • @videomike219

He went from 73 to 110 kilogram, so i think he´s doing something right.

  • @videomike219 How do you suggest he should train ? There is NOTHING wrong with his training. He is no bodybuilder nor is he a powerlifter. The basics of weight training for fighters are as it goes - doing explosive fast lifts, doing only compound movements (no isolation), minimal (to no) rest and doing sport specific exercises like the shadow boxing and the core training. Doing jumps and other plyo movements is critical to a fighter. And you do need to cover the whole body.

  • @videomike219 bro.nobody show his really training! all have secrets.this is professional.and the training for fighters is very diffrent by the training of bodybuilders.so dont be sad:)

  • @videomike219 ...lol, leave it up to a youtube fitness expert to criticize a successful K1 fighter's workout. Shut the fuck up

  • @videomike219 lsearch his name in google and see whats his background.. you'll know why he is training diff from what you do or know...

  • @videomike219

This man has 7 titles, over 75 professional fights and is trained by a 4x K1 Champion. Lets see your credentials and we'll take it from there.

  • @videomike219 hahahahahahahahahahaha you actually think you know how to do it better than spong and his trainer?

  • @videomike219 this is because classic 10 reps bodybuilding training is shitty for fighters... makes you slow and messes your technique. You need to train more like powerlifting. Bench, dips, dead lift and add some shadowboxing and stretiching between series.

  • he did pretty well against overeem in 2010 k1 GP :)

  • wat ga je met die beelden doen? niet op youtube zetten he...

ik denk dat je binnenkort moet rennen voor je leven cameraman lol
