yeah when i was like 13 i would kinda think that if someone is pretty/attractive they cant be a geek ,but now that I'm not stupid >.> I've actually met a lot of people both online and at my school are "geeks" i guess we like games and anime xD. and as to seekerjet your stupid and i hate you. i admit that im what most people would call "geeky" or "nerdy" i have plenty of friends, i love attention, and i cant say i have a fear of dirt... ass. subscribed btw

As long as you possess the power to reject others who want to date you, you're not a real geek. Geeks don't reject others, they get rejected. Not that I'm a geek (serious LOL), I do get dates, but still...geeks can't get dates. If they do, they're not geeks.

Oh and you already told an important one: geeks never talk about their geekiness. In fact, geeks will never admit to others (and themselves) that they're geeks. It's true that only wannabe's (no offense) will tell others that they're geeks. Oh and geeks can't get a bf/gf. If you have a bf/gf, you're not an authentic geek.

You sound like a geek. I'm convinced. Anyone can like video games and anime, even non-geeks, but Star Trek and RPG's (OD&D, AD&D, GURPS, etc., etc.) are for the true geek connoisseur. I'm not a big fan of stereotypes but from my experience nerds can be cool and good looking, hey i consider myself a film nerd.
It's someone who has a interest in a subject to almost obsession. That can be pretty much anyone. But geek on the other hand shares the same traits as a nerd but also lack common social skills and then use their obsession as a form of escapism to compensate for said fact.
But hey when someone says you're not a nerd, so what! What's in a label? your still you right?

ahh yes, I know what you mean, I think people watch too many videos where people are immitating nerds making nerds seem differant to what nerds are. Im more into computers, technology, sci-fi, novels and games.
I think it would be good to set up an International "Nerd" Society (online)as a way to share ideas, set up events and share news although multitudes of people who are not nerds would join to take the piss out of it

i see you point, but i guess i fall into the group of ppl you were talking about. How ppl dont think you can be a nerd cause they classify you as "Cute" or "Pretty". I just cant get that mentality of thinking out of my head. How i saw it was that a geek looked and acted geeky. Being a geek was a combination of the two. But if you only like geeky stuff they your not "technically" a geek. WEll i hope u know what i mean. And i do hope this channel changes my way of thinking. PEACE.
