The music is too loud I can barely hear you. I have Canon 50d and I am impressed with the quality of pictures it takes. And recording in HD IS JUST AMAZING.
@paranoid492 there's no doubt that our gap within what's semi expert and pro is little these days. d7000 is perhaps all everyone want. visit... freedslr . co m remove spaces and take the chance to win a Brand New Nikon D7000
just upgrade from 450d to 50d!love the 50d,its more faster and quicker!lit has more features!but 450d is just alright it will also take a quality photos even if you are only using the kit lens.
Is it best to just buy the body of the camera and buy a better lens later?... are kit lenses just to get you started? Meaning...to get the best result out of your canon 40D or 50D you will upgrade to a better lens quickly, leaving your kit lens redundant? Any help appreciated. Thanks
Generally speaking, you should concentrate more on your lenses than on your camera. The type of lenses you choose / can afford to use, also dictate a lot of the type of photos you will be able to get. That said, pretty much any of the current Canon DSRL-bodies will give you fantastic results if you use it with a decent piece of glass. And, most importantly, you need to know HOW to take photographs in the first place :)
A lot of stuttering, seems like you didn't give enough thought into this review, just kind of did it. No set speech typed out? Why watch this if I can watch a fuller, more detailed and well prepared review? Just being honest, I did learn a few things though on the positive side.
Thanks for the reply. In some of my first reviews, I found that scripting took too much time rehearsing the lines and extra takes to get it right. Using an auto cue to the side just looked like I wasn't looking at the camera and an autocue machine costs about two grand.
Everything is off my head with some minor pointers of what I want to mention before I start.
Buy it (unless you already have!). I have had a 350D, 40D and a now have a 50D. its brilliant. Dont listen to anyone whining about sensor noise. All sensor will produce significant noise at ISO 3200 and above. Up to ISO 1600 noise control is more than adequate.
I had a 40D before the 50D so I got used to the controls. As far as I am concerned the menu system is pretty simple, and colour coded as are all Canon menus. button position/functions are easy to remember. There may be better newer mid range DSLRs out there now, so it might be worth having a look, especially if you'd like video... The 7D is a 1/3rd more expensive, but hugely spec'd..
I suspect the 50D and the 7D share many controls. If cost isnt an issue and you want a Canon mid range camera then the 7D should be your choice because many of its features have been upgraded over the 50D. If you arent dead set on Canon then its worth looking at Nikon too... D90 is good, D300 is good too..
If you had the ability to receive a camera for free with no charges which one would it be? Canon 50D, Canon 7D, or Nikon D90? Because money isnt a big deal for me. So if you got anyone of those cameras listed before which one would it be?
Thats easy :) 7D. You have to look past the obvious feature too, like the megapixels and video. Pretty much the whole camera is uprated and many consider it a professional camera with a "subframe" (1.6x crop) sensor. Also bear in mind the D90 is aging now...
Well the D90 has been fout or about a year now and also its video is just 720p. The D300S is worth a look, the D300 doesnt have video. The D300 is superior to the D90 and also has HD video at 720p. I'd still go for the 7D, which is right up to date and has 50% more mp if thats your thing..
NO WAY!!!...........@csrocker..... i know how good the above said cameras' are dude! plus i am only $175.00 away from purchasing the canon 5d! thks anyway for your reply!.best...
a good way to learn about slrs' is to just buy one that i can afford then take it from there! Why would i want to get 1 that is not as good as one in which i want anyways???I will be getting it next thursday anyways, plus you should be ''encouraging'' me to get what i want. NOT ''discouraging' me to get what i can learn on first!@csrocker!!.geez!~~~~
if you're familiar with the SLR functions you wont have a hard time with higher models... its all a matter of getting use to the camera.. i went from a film SLR straight to a 50D and it was easy.. no trouble at all
hey dude, i'm currently using an xsi. and planning to get the 50d. some people say 40d is better than the 50d. but you tried them both, i didn't. what would you suggest? thanx.
what do you guys think about the 28-135mm lens that comes with this?? i didn't get the 18-200 kit 'cause it's not a usm and i heard it suffers really bad with ca.
Hey, I have both a 40D and a 50D and they are different. I use them for different things, but i think the answer to your question is that the 50D is WAY better in almost all respects, with perhaps the noise at high ISOs being more of an issue than the 40D if you look at 100% or more. It depends on your budget though and what lenses you have so far, getting a good lens could mean you can only afford a 40D. If this is the case you will not be disappointed - it is also awesome!
One piece of information is wrong. You said it will shoot 6.3 but if you didn't use certain CF cards it might not shoot that fast. The truth is it will shoot at 6.3 frames a second with any CF card. The speed of the card only effects the number of shots in a row at the the max frame rate, not the frame rate its self.
he meant did CA stand for custom auto or creative auto, as you when you described the CA feature you called it custom auto (which in fact it is creative auto)
he wasnt talking about CA as in chromatic aberations
Your right. it does not matter what card you use. The 6.3 fps will be the same. Only the number of shots at one burst is affected very slightly. It will hardly be noticeable and who is going to be shooting forever and that top speed anyway. Not me.
The music is too loud I can barely hear you. I have Canon 50d and I am impressed with the quality of pictures it takes. And recording in HD IS JUST AMAZING.

How long can you record, before the memory card is full? 10 minuts? A hour?

oh ok. Take a look at the Nikon D90's control buttons on google images. Do you think the 50D would be better controls or the D90?
904SF 2 years ago
So is there a reason why I would get this camera instead of the 7D besides cost?

Depends on what your doing. As in if its for a hobby or if, say, your a pro wedding photographer.
But the 50d is a great camera and the lens is good too.
Read up on it, you'll find good reviews on both of them.
