  • @666Barbaro I think your oven temperature is in Celsius.. the temperature given in this video is in Fahrenheit.. you need to convert it.. :) so in this video its

    450 F = 232 C..

  • Adopt me. Please.

  • i have a qustion and i wonder if you can eat the volcano cake even if it is cold. see i look cold chodolate and not warm

  • I can only bake them at 250 degrees :( How can I get the chocolate sauce in the inside of the volcano?

  • @666Barbaro Just follow the instructions. You will have to bake yours longer due to the low temperature, but I think you will still have chocolate sauce in the center.

    --Betty :)

  • @Pinkpainter26 I don't remember about this video, but I do usually taste my food; I didn't at the beginning, and then viewers started requesting it, so that is a standard part of most of my videos. thanks for your lovely compliment!

    --Betty :)

  • If I just use normal eggs can I use this as a normal cake batter to make some muffins?

    Thanks

  • @TheCakeMaster2000 Yes, just bake to the center consistency you want; you can keep the lava look or bake a little longer for it to solidify.

    --Betty :)

  • Thanks Betty for answering back i am definitely gonna try this

  • @sohan181 That's great!

    --Betty :)

  • i like ur kitchen , its very neat clean

  • hi Betty that is a great recipe i just waned to ask instead of buttering the muffin tins can i use a baking cups will that gonna work? please reply

    Thanks

  • @sohan181 Yes, that will work. You will need to peel off the baking cups, if you plan to serve them with powdered sugar on the top (bottom).

    --Betty :)

  • hi thanks for the recipe we have a holiday coming and i have got to try these.

by the way why did you let the cake sit in the fridge for two hours? what if i bake it right away and can i skip the cream?

    Thanks

  • @sohan181 If you let it sit in the fridge, it will hold its shape better, but you may bake it right away if you wish. If you skip the cream, you should replace it with an equal amount of milk.

    --Betty :)

  • This looks so delicious! I really want to try it!! Thank you!

  • @GreekgirlsRawesome09 You're welcome! I hope you enjoy the recipe!

    --Betty :)

  • can we change it to a melted cheese??

  • @brtfunandcool I don't see how melted cheese would go with this recipe.

    --Bety :)

  • where can i buy the egg substitute?

  • @domohead123 We are able to get it at our supermarket, Kroger. It's refrigerated and can be found near the eggs.

    --Betty :)

  • Thank you for sharing your recipe and talent. I can't wait to try it. I just had a dessert the restaurant called it Chocolate indulgence, but I think this is it.

    --Betty :)

  • This is a typical french recepie ! The name is FONDANT AU CHOCOLAT

  • @TheNass223 Thanks for the information; that's interesting!

    --Betty :)

  • Okay never mind the last question I just got done eating one and they are so amazing, the 'lava' was perfect. The chocolate tasted heavenly and I have to thank you again, so thank you. <3

    --Sophie :)

  • @Dudet5678 I'm sorry I missed your previous question, but I am delighted that the volcano cakes came out well! Thanks for your great feedback!

    --Betty :)

  • Also I didn't beat the eggs and sugar for 6 minutes, I did for about three. Do you think it will make a difference?

  • Hey Betty! Today, well just now I finished making the volcano cake. They are in the fridge before I bake them. I used real eggs instead of egg substitute, and milk chocolate instead of dark. I hope these turn out. And thank you again for the great recipes. Please don't stop making these amazing videos. I thought when they are done baking to sprinkle them with powdered sugar and then top with whipped cream and a cherry. I will send you a picture. Thanks,

    --Sophie :)

  • @mddermy Thanks!

    --Betty :)

  • great!

  • Instead of egg substitute, can we just use regular eggs?

  • @jazzycandycane Yes, regular eggs are great!

    --Betty :)

  • @Alexskitchen99 I use Windows Movie Maker software, which came with my computer.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen can i use cocoa powder,,,, as substitute for chocolate??? pls rply...

  • What if we don't have heavy whipping cream?

  • @mojoman10k You can try using whole milk.

    --Betty :)

  • can we use regular eggs

  • @jenny92504 Yes, they will be fine!

    --Betty :)

  • if we use paper baking cups do we still have to put coco powder around it ?

becasue i dont have unsweetend coco powder i have sweet coco powder

  • @jenny92504 You don't have to put the cocoa around it; it's nice, if you have it.

    --Betty :)

  • some people put vanilla or chocolate ice cream on the side

  • 2 people don't like cake, and that's just odd.

  • "I've been beating this for about 6 minutes" haha, i still giggle like a little school girl when i hear someone say beating. xD

  • 2 people don't wanna get chocolate wasted:)

  • 2 guys didn't like the cake

  • You are one hot MILF!

  • Can you use paper baking cups for this?

  • @nursedeb08 Yes, that would be faster. You could just sprinkle the tops with confectioner's sugar, or remove them from the pan, invert them, and sprinkle the bottom, like these.

    --Betty :)

  • MMMMMM I need these sent me! But I love it warm melting chocolate cake have on the only Carnival cruise LIne I love eat!! These ship everyday night dinner room!!

  • You always give me so many great ideas for desserts! Love your channel!

  • Great Video! Check Out Chef Anna's Cooking Channel. Thanks.

  • Hi betty, for this recipe is it possible to substitute white chocolate chips for the chocolate chips or maybe even mix and match a little?

  • best thing to put on top of this is strawberrys or berrys glazed (add suger in a pot and let it glaze) and put on top. makes for a Fancy desert.

  • For a moment there I thought you weren't gonna cut into it at the end lol But wow that looks so good! :-o

  • Mmmh, looks tasty. Reminds me a bit of "Mohr im Hemd", an austrian delicacy. Ever heard of it? It's a dark chocolate dough ring (still warm/hot when served), not liquid inside, but it comes with an extra prepared dark chocolate sauce (warm/hot of course) and whipped cream. And it looks more like an already erupted chocolate volcano.

  • OMG AWESOME BETTY!

  • Could I put cream on top of these or would it taste bad on the cake?

  • @UkMicky09 Whipped cream would be good. You can't just use plain cream--It would soak into the cake. Maybe you have some special type of cream in mind.

    --Betty :)

  • I do like chocolate. Especially chocolate magma.

  • Believe it or not, my mom is actually making a chocolate cake at the moment so while watching this, I've had that beautiful smell travel upstairs to my room. Wonderful recipe, I am most definitely going to try this myself!

  • Hi Betty! I was watching this with my one year old cousin. At the end, he said, "Yum! Wake shome! (make some)" Hey, even babies like your recipes! :)

  • Looks absolutely delicious for sure! Nice elegant even decadent looking chocolate molten lava or volcano cakes! I love that Ghirardelli brand chocolate. I tasted some chocolate candy in that brand and it was to die fo! Must be the cacao in it. Yummm!

Hope you all have a lovely holiday season, Betty! ((Hugs)) from Angie in AR

  • weee~looks yummy..i really love chocolate..

    cokelat > chocolate =D

  • I was wondering, if you use eggs instead of the substitute, do you just use the yolks or the whole eggs?

  • @ranchclemeno Use the whole egg. It would be okay to use just the yolks, but that is not necessary.

    --Betty :)

  • These look so good Betty, our daughter thought that they looked very good too :-) Richard

  • @richardpeej Thanks for your lovely comment, Richard. I am flattered to know that your daughter liked them, since I know she does baking and catering!

    --Betty :)

  • next time you make things can you use like mililetres and grams and kilograms as i have no idea how much 1 cup is or 1 and a half sticks thanks

  • Great Job Betty.....as always. Look perfect for a dinner party on these cold New England nights ahead of us.

  • Can u cook for me always? :-)

  • hi betty! i really wanna try this recipe but i was wondering, can you use margarine or unsalted butter instead of salted butter?

  • @clubpenguin1212100 Yes, you may use margarine or unsalted butter. Either will be fine!

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen

    thank you!!

  • i love it betty!!!!!!! you look so beautiful as always!

  • firstly thx a lot for this recipe...coz i have been looking for an eggless choco lava cake recipe since long time back...but of no use....after seeing this...m so happy n so much wanna try that....hope u will answer my questions .....i have 2 things to ask...one is that is heavy whipping cream sweet ? n another is that can i use egg replacer powder and what will be the quantity???

  • @payish The whipping cream is unsweetened. Yes, you can use egg powder. Just look at the instructions on the package, and it will tell how much powder you will need.

    --Betty :)

  • YUM-O! It makes me want to scream out "VOLCANO!!!!" just like they do when you are served a similar dessert at The Rainforest Cafe :)

  • Thank you so much Betty. I love that you go through all the steps and make the recipes do-able even for the basic coook like me. Love that chocolate!

  • You always look lovely, you are a very pretty grandmother! The best part is you're a 'Top Cook'! =)

  • You always look lovely, you are a very pretty grandmother! The best part is you're a 'Top Cook'! =)

  • I love chocolate so this one is for me!!

  • I SAW CHOCOLATE AND I CAME RUNNING!!!!! HAHAHA! Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe ! I would love to try it sometime. Now that the weather is cooler, my mom will let me turn on the oven (can't when it's too hot lol), and I will certainly give this try, and let you know how my family and I loved it, I'm sure we will!

  • Those look amazing, I always wondered how they made those - thanks Betty!

  • Looks amazing Betty! When I was at this hotel in Belize we had a molten lava cake every time we went to the hotel restaurant- they did a banana molten chocolate cake! YUM :) Warm, nice video, as always :)

  • Looks yummy. :D

  • Get it Betty! It looks delicious!!!

  • Im not sure if you said this in the video, but if you put these in the fridge and then later on put then in the microwave for a few seconds, will there still be "molten lava" or will the cake absorb it? =)

  • @XxPuddingFaceXx There will still be molten lava. I froze several of these, and thawed them out, and even without microwaving them they maintained their oozing center.

    --Betty :)

  • hi betty, i use to bake cupcakes very often for all my friends' birthdays. a tip i have to offer is to use an ice cream scooper to spoon the batter :) the ice cream scoopers that have the little thing to put all the batter out.. i hope you get what i'm trying to say

  • what is the reasoning of putting the cupcakes in the fridge for an hr Betty?

  • @maplepoon The first refrigeration is to keep the butter in place. The second refrigeration is to make the cupcake cling together better during the baking process, because it is very fragile.

    --Betty :)

  • @maplepoon im sure the 3rd reason for the 1 hour freezing for this volcano cake is to make the center of the cake cooler then the outside.. so when baking, the chance of having the oozing center is much much higher then when you didnt freeze it.

  • @derekbegins That's true.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen hey Betty! how much eggs do i need to have 1 and 1 quarter cup of it?

because i can beat the eggs, use a double boiler and partially cook the egg first.while whisking.

  • @derekbegins I don't know, exactly. You can take a measuring cup and break eggs into it until you have approximately 1 1/4 cups, and the beat the eggs.

    --Betty :)

  • This looks so amazing, I can't wait to try it!!! Thanks for the recipe Betty, your a doll!

  • This looks sooooo amazingly delicious Betty.:-)

Thank you for sharing this I'll have to try it for the holidays.:-)

  • Hi Betty! I have a question. When you are making something and you buy an ingredient that you don't usually use, what do you do with it?? And what if it's something that will expire?

  • @tomwahtoes There isn't much that I throw away. I manage to refrigerate or freeze most extra ingredients, and I keep in mind things like dairy products and fresh produce and try to use them fairly quickly. Some things can go past their expiration date and still be usable (perhaps in a different way), but if I have something that goes bad, I chuck it.

    --Betty :)

  • Looks delicious! Thanks Betty!!!

  • this is great betty! always wanted to make something like this =)

  • can u use white chocolate??

  • @randomworldshow why not?

  • @randomworldshow Since its not real chocolate, you're going to need to alter the ingredients because it has less density than chocolate. Maybe melt the white chocolate in pudding first to build up a proper consistency.

  • Just the thing I need right now! :D

  • What a cake. Yum

  • do you think these would do good at a bake sale? any other suggested items would be accepted also... THANK YOU!!!

  • @TycoonsiPhone These might be a little messy for bake sales. I have peanut butter chocolate bars, pecan bars, lemon chess bars in bettyskitchen.

    --Betty :)

  • Ugh that looks amazing! I'm so making this. Thanks Betty!

  • That looks so good! I love chocolate, so this is something I would love.

  • What I love the most is that you enjoyed it so much in the restaurant that you went home and duplicated it yourself...now that is passion! I have no doubts that yours is even better than the one from the restaurant...because you're the best! :)

  • before baking it, we put it in the freezer or in the refrigerate ??

  • @nawaltamimi The fridge. :)

  • i work at the galt house

  • Thank You So Much Betty!!!!!!!!!! :DDDDDDDdd

  • I use a silicone brush that doesn't drop any hairs :D

  • looks very yummy !!! thanks a lot betty and god bless you and your family

we dont have egg substitute, so what can i do plz???

  • @umkoki Use egg... Obviously.

  • @4GetTHEFun

thanks :) but use the whole egg or just the yolk??

  • How do you use all this butter and still have this amazing body :( i guess it's genes? you are lucky <3 oh and i loved the recipe

  • @i1l2f3h4v5d6 Usually she avoids fats but in this video she decided to make an awesome cake.

  • good job! that always seemed like such a tricky thing to make.

and it looks really good! :)

  • yummy!!

  • Those look heavenly, wonder if you could half the recipe as having 16 of those in my house which is just me and the husband could be dangerous, LOL!

  • This reminds me of an English version of a baked pudding.

  • Betty, Is this the same as the Chocolate Lava Cake, or has the same texture at least, you made in your earlier video?

  • @bee5120 It's quite a lot the same result, using a different technique--and I like this one better!

    --Betty :)

  • brava bettty, i love your perfect chocolate volcano cake!!!! :)))

  • Looks delicious Betty!! Word of caution to anyone who uses those pastry brushes...always always check for those "bristles" that sometimes, often, shed off those brushes, that could so be a choking hazard. Thanks for sharing Betty!!

  • I figured you would come up with an additional idea as to the Lava cake. They both look equally as scrumptious. And fun to make, too. Thanks, Betty!

  • it looks so good! i was thinking of making it before i saw this video! this looks better then the recipe i was going to use. YUMM

  • OMG delicious! love this video Betty.. i been looking for something like this.. thank you :)

  • This looks beyond amazing! A pms-ing womans dream!
