Secondly, we can simply bypass those have a personal emotional fixation or old ways of making things, doing things and organizing people and resources. Why the need to conquer when the workers in the "enemy camp" simply refuses to work with obsolete technologies and ideas?

I also just wanted to throw out here that I agree that certain aspects of TVP are not ideal and don't take into account transition from our current society but I also see ways around it. My whole family is into stripping cars and motorcycles and building hotrods. All very hands on. Things like this don't have to change and you have the added option of 3D Printing and eventually Nano Molecular Assembly to design vehicles that are out of this world. Creativity knows no bounds.
