Hi all.I just bought this boat and read all reviews at HK and here and i m a bit confused.Many certified buyers say only to change esc or put smaller prop.Other certified buyers advice to change motor also!!!!!?????I did ordered a 120A turnigy marine ESC and some props (smaller than 40mm) but didn t buy a motor as some people say.Could i have a responsible answer please???Would it be OK with this setup:3S 11.1V 4400mAh TURNIGY MARINE 120A ESC,STOCK MOTOR AND SMALLER PROP?????THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Simply love this boat. handles well too after adjusting the outboard angle. stock setup speed were average only. motor n esc burnt after 3rd batt pack dunno y.upgrade to a higher 2100 kv motor n a 60A esc speed improves to 25%. On a 4s 50%.somply lovin it.But do take note to chk its flex shaft cause it dries off very fast.I reapply marine grease after about 5 runs.

We had a hornet f1 for test and a second one for races....BOTH ESC FRIED ON FIRST RUN!!!! I ordered this boat on December 11 2010 and got it january 12 2011 im not getting warranty for the fried ESC and the melted boat (yes the boat got fire) even thou we pluged 3c 11.1v batteries as stated when i bought it..... DO NOT BUY THIS BOAT IT ALSO COMES WITH CRACKS I WILL POST A VIDEO TO SHOW ALL YOU GUYS.... if you already bought it dont use it get a better ESC first

How do you setup the boat without fried the esc, as I see alot of people complaint regarding the esc fried.

@Linoge279 i would guess with a lame 2 cell 7.4v battery but the boat will run really slow.......... i fried 2 esc of two f1 hornets get a turnigy 100 amp or bigger

One thing I do worry about rc boats is how will I get it back if it tips over etc.. :/ Especially if your on quite a big lake/pond.

@heliman85 I have that same worry, so I grab a spool of lanyard and tie it to the boat so I can pull it back in case any thing happens.

That is a cool looking boat, an it seems to have some speed to it. Has any one ever put a little camera on a RC boat an recorded if not drive the boat, to give a fill that there in it, if not make room for a small cockpit to fit a G. I. Joe figure to look like a passenger is in control of the boat?
