@anjinsan1977 Actually, thats untrue. My cerwin vega ls-12's. Actually sound very good. And even with no EQ (i always run controls flat), they come close to my paradigm monitors believe it or not. As for "broke peeps", well...... i wouldnt say that a $600 pair of speakers is for "broke peeps". Sure, $600 isnt some godlike expensive speaker. But you can buy a pair of sony floorstanders for $150 in some places.

However, your statement about them not being audiophile quality is true.

@rauflh nice speaks, I used to own a pair of sm255. Massive speakers, 4 ft tall, 80 lbs. 1" fast glass tweeter, 2- 5.25" mids, 15" woofer. 300 watts rms, 103db sensitivity. Used them as fronts for my home theater. Blew plenty of people out of their seats. Even used them with a 250 watt per channel mixer with my band. they took every ounce of what i did to them. Sadly, i got rid of them when all four mids and both woofs needed refoaming.
