@FabioBlood That's right, the preamp of the first amp is controlling the poweramp of all 3 amps. My pedal board has a digital reverb pedal with stereo outs, so I ran them to separate poweramp inputs. The nice thing is that all the amps are then controlled by a common EQ and volume control.
the best amplifiers in the world! Riffguy I have a '85 2204 with mullard xf2 and sounds great, in your opinion on my other amp (jtm45) in the power stage are better JJ or svetlana c? (KT66)?
@FabioBlood I've never used KT66's. The JJ's are pretty good, but the best EL34's I've ever used were a pair of Groove Tubes EL34's rated as "S-5". I don't know if GT has the same supplier for this particular tube, since I tried them over 20 years ago. All I can remember was they really woke up my amp.
i always get tones of unwanted feedback playing with my amp out of my 4 12, with my amp volume at 7:30, which is really loud already, did u use any gears to stop nasty feedback?
all 3 linked together FTW! i tried this with my friends 3 stacks and its awesome i went on stage with them and it literally blew some people away at 11!!
@riffguy well how many megapixels is your camera ..... im not overly crazy about the qualty because your one of the greatest guitarists i have ever seen, and i was also woundering if you could give me your opinion on deathcore
@dethmetalism My older videos were recorded on a poor quality webcam and now I use an HD webcam mostly. As far as deathcore goes, I don't care for anything with excessive chugging and cookie monster vocals.....I guess I'm showing my age.
Is there a specific reason you mic the top left speaker on the slated cab? I'd imagine it's easier to access the lower cabs so there must be a special reason.
@bladerunner12 I prefer the top speaker of the top cab because I find it sounds better.....for some odd reason, the bass response is better. I usually mic the left speaker so the guitar cord won't be dangling against the mic.
hey how do you hook amos up through effects loops im imagining what it is but could you put in terms of like amp1... input....send.... inputot of amp2 and so on so forth
@knutdude Plug into one amp, then from the send jack, use a splitter to go into the return jacks of the other amps. This way you are using the preamp from one amplifier to run the rest of them.
@sleeplessingc Back in the day, Hiwatt was considered a upscale alternative to Marshall and is probably better quality in terms of construction. It's loaded with 25 watt Fane speakers and has a very rich, warm sound. It's a great cabinet, although I prefer the sound of my Marshall cabs.
@10oooo01 No BS, the guitar is plugged into the middle amp and the other 2 are linked together through their effects loops, which are on the back panels.
Line 6 cabs are horrible. Ever heard of Mesa Boogie cabs. They are HAND BUILT from hand picked wood, and the speakers are top notch. Line 6 are cheap and not worth anything.
24? Well this can't be right...all I'm hearing is two characteristically shitty laptop speakers. Seriously though dude, awesome setup and major sic skills! Hope you've been able put a little dough towards a security system...or a big, nasty dog.
i've daisy chained 5 full stacks in my house a couple times...........all 1959 leads.
(no, im not lying) all different speaker combinations... all i can say is that is was super fking cool. it was kinda like a weird stereo or surround sound kinda feel! it was awesome.
At about 3 on the volume ? thats not very loud ... even a 100 watters are quite nice guys on 3. But the pc mic would be able to capture a nice poweramp drive right?
@KillModzzor it doesn't matter what the cabinet says it could say Marshall or HiWatt or even ASS it only matters what speakers are inside. (Celestions would be my guess)
Are those jcm800? I have jcm800 2203zw, and it has a completely different sound (though I use chorus, sd1 and a les paul in addition). And at 3 it must be really loud. I dont usually play louder than 1 in my house.
sometimes i find myself amazed throughout an entire video then at the end just go "what the hell just happened??" lmao love your playing i wanna be this good someday
