  • If there is a light rain outside I guess I can use this case too?

  • @DineNastyLakers

Otterbox Cases are generally somewhat water resistant, so light rain isn't too much of a problem. It should just never be confused with "water proof", as in submersible (in which none of their Commuter or Defender cases are).

  • I think you are crossing "for the time being" with "at this time"

  • @meyandruz

    Noted, thanks!

  • does it fit the t-mobile version

  • @skyline3936

Unfortunately it does not. A T989 version is in production and will be released within the near future.

  • Does this case affect the noise cancellation microphone? It seems that it covers it a bit. Has anyone complained about it?

  • @JSantana319

The Defender - we hear the usual complaints about it being muffled due to the size of the case. As for the Commuter - we're not sure. The best place to find out criticisms of the cases Otterbox makes is their own official product page - as Otterbox does post reviews there along with official responses. If they feel it's a defect - they'll replace it. If it's a large problem, they'll openly exchange / refund the case.

  • @DayDealOnDisplay Thanks man!! I ordered the commuter case already. I just gotta wait like 4-5 days more because of the holidays, lol.

  • just got mine today...i returned my iphone 4s...this is by far better, i have tmobile which is a bummer but it does the job, would this case fit mine?

  • @jettastreetracer

The only 2 version of the S this specifically fits is the i9100 (unlocked) and the i777 (AT&T). Any other variant of the S will not fit properly or align properly.

  • How much heavier does the phone feel with the Otterbox vs. using something more low profile for a case? I absolutely LOVE how this looks so ideally would be nice to have it...but if it literally doubles the weight or feels quite a heft, may not be worth it for me. Any comments on weight would be great. Appreciate it!

  • @audioexcels

Otterbox has an official specifications sheet for this case which has its weight for it.

    It weighs 1.21oz / 34.47g

    The i9100 weighs 4.09oz / 116g

The math comes out to the phone being about 30% heavier. Hope that helps!

  • Excellent review. Sadly, this is not available (yet?) for the Sprint version (Epic 4G Touch)

  • ive been told this is capable wid the att version galaxy s2 is it tru im lookin for a case for my galaxy s2 but its just hard to find a hard case any websites u can help me out wid to help me out wid my search?

  • @xxTIGER43xx

The AT&T version of the S2 (i777) is relatively new at this point in time, so if you can just wait a bit you will soon see a lot of accessories specifically made for it be released. Any website that carries cell phone accessories will start stocking cases (like our own at DayDeal) since it's a popular phone - so just sit tight.

If you really want to try and use the i9100 version now, you can purchase it from us at DayDeal or simply head to Otterbox's main site to buy.

  • @DayDealOnDisplay thnx ya im really of need of a case do u think the case mate tough case will fit on the i777?

  • @xxTIGER43xx

That's tough to say - I would honestly still wait for the official release. If you head on over to Case-mate's website, they already have a new section up for AT&T products (i777) and so far it's only one item.

If all the i9100 cases fit the i777 nicely or easily, then they would of sold them right away for early market profit. Since they haven't done so is proof enough for us they know it's not a good fit overall.

  • It is nice case

  • Great review!
