The Winnipeg Arena only held something like 14,000 when full to the rafters - these days, you need at least twice that.

Actually the old Arena could hold 15,565. Our new arena (MTS Centre) can hold 15,003. When building it the arena owners received approval from the NHL that the arena was adequate enough to host an NHL team.

Bottom Line - The MTS Centre can house an NHL team. Some of the ticket prices for the expensive seats will have to be above the league average.
