  • IT WAS AN ACCORDD FUCKERS!

  • AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDI !!!!

  • @twomuchmonster fuck you faggots its a nissan you mother fucker

  • I remember seeing a picture of this in the newspaper about 25 years ago. Was this the actual footage of the rescue, or did they just re-enact it for the TV show?

  • @cljohnston108 This WAS the actual footage, and remember the story well and without doubt, one of the most exciting and amazing rescues ever. The pilots skill at low level, plus the guy in the sunroof must have had balls of steel, because, the wheel was going to come down via gravity once released, it could strike him on the bonce and killed him. Out bloody standing....

  • I would HATE to see how they would fix a broken prop rofl.

  • The emergency gear lever didn't work as well?!

  • Why would anyone do this. People usually never get harmed during gear up landings especially with a small plane like this.

  • @Anonymous1226 You going to pay for the repairs?

  • @toutatis12 The gear still needs repairs. And you going to pay for the medical bills when the pilot accidentally lands the plane through the car.

  • @Anonymous1226 Yeah. The gear repair will be a heck of a lot cheaper than an engine rebuild and another prop, as well as possible damage to the a/c structurally. Insurance does not cover everything. I realize the danger, however, the guy in the car made the decision to give it a try, no one forced him. I do understand your point of view.

  • @toutatis12 Indeed...but if the man reaching for the gear was crushed, or fell from the car while reaching for the gear, that would be far greater a loss than that caused by doing some repairs to a machine.

  • @BrettVisionSLR I agree with you. However, I would have tried the same thing as the man did to lower the gear. I'm just crazy like that. ;)

  • Love how over dramatised this is. The chance of death with a gear failure on all wheels, let alone on one wheel, is extremely unlikely!

  • @Criscocheeseman200 Media never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Probably the only story this year of any note in that area and the news crew milked it for all it was worth....

  • "Now the plane is running only on fuel" well I didn't know it ran on something else as well...

  • @Aang6678 "fumes"

  • While the real story is compelling enough, the commentary on this program is BS. I was a partner in this plane, a Piper PA-28201RT Turbo Arrow N8385A. It was being serviced and given an annual. The pilot is the A&P mechanic on a test flight. The St. Augustine airport is home to airbatic teams and air show acts. This rescue was performed by persons well-versed in slow/low flight and stunts. The plane was not low on fuel (time was spent calling news crews.) They even had their own cameras. Hmmm.

  • i just watched 20 different videos of planes landing on only two wheels, and they were fine, easy bro

  • amazing!!!!

  • imagine if the pilot got a. whats it called? hick? like. a stomach cramp. so the plain would have ben like. "hmmm. "dives" WACK!!!"

  • omg!! that was dangerous.... the guy in the car could have been killed with a little downdraft in the airplane or something.... but good job anyways! I would have landed it with the wheels up.... that was too risky!

  • This was also featured on an early episode of Rescue 911.

  • The car is an Audi 5000 Turbo, built 1980 to 1982 in Neckarsulm/Germany. Thanks to it's turbo charged inline five cylinder engine it had a great performance!

  • Did you find the damn problem?

  • He could attempt to retract the landing gear and belly flop the aircraft down. Oh a pilot landed his light aircraft with one side of his gear and ripped his wing tip off, didn't kill him. (This was at my local airfield)

  • @dalequarmby

OR someone can drop the gear by pulling it while going 100 knots; and most importantly saving the pilot's ego from being crushed along with the plane.

  • Sounds like the pilot is going to die if the gear doesnt come down, not likely

  • actually the pilot would die if the landing gear doesn't come down, if he were to land with 2 wheels down as he landed the right side would drop and hit the floor, probably rip the wing off and even at landing speeds that would cause a huge crash.

  • @dalequarmby why not

  • It's not a stunt. Jim Moser was the driver and Joe Lippo was the mechanic who pulled the gear down. It happened in March 1985 in St. Augustine, FL KSGJ, RWY 31. I knew Jim very well. Sadly, he passed away several years ago. He owned the FBO, AeroSport.

  • That's some amazing coordination right there. I've never seen anything like it.

  • Awesome!

  • wtf.... you can land without a weel, my grandpa has done it once, and the plane flew again

  • i meant thanks..

  • What kind of plane is that????

  • i think its a Cessna

  • No actually it's a Piper Arrow. Cessna's wings are usually "High Wing" where the wings are above the cabin. That's normally a good way to tell the difference. ;)

  • Thats lol i prefer planes with Higher wings lol like the antonov

  • yep that's one heck of a plane.

  • @aviator06 Who in the fucking world thought this was a cessna? LOL

  • No man ... it's a piper

  • wow nice crabbing from the pilot not easy to see under the wings as for the guys in the car shit hope your wife didnt see that lol may i quote a old saying ( when faced with a emergency fly the aircraft as far as possible into the crash) end quote

  • what a hero!!

  • OMG i thought that kind of action just on hollywood movies

    great vid

  • OOOOO I SAW THAT IN TV. Awesome rescue

  • is that real

  • wow thats crazy!

  • My God!!!Excellent images.Congratulations Jojo.Ale.
