Salam. My grandfather *70* was recently in the hospital for a checkup& out of nowhere.. became paralyzed on his left side, he cant open his eyes, can't speak and has blood in his brain. He has to have surgery inshALLAH in 2 weeks bc his hearts too weak to handle it. Please make dua' and may Allah swt bless you. His names Sayed Jan (pronounced JON) ty Allah hafez.

sister the nasheed about 99 names is not right cause we dont konw if they are 99 since prophet mohammed in his prayer would pray saying i ask u all from glorious name of yours that you revealed to your creation and those that u kept to yourself which indicates that there are more than 99 .

Of course brother, i believe that Kamal, and any other Muslim insha'Allah, knows that 99 were mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah, as was mentioned by the Ulema, yes there are more, and Allah Knows Best what they are, but for now all we know is 99, and the nasheed mentions 99, and i don't see a problem with that.

First point: his voice is for "entertainment". You are not Allah, of course, so how can you know what purpose it serves to diff people? How can you know his intentions, that he makes it for entertainment or just as a reminder to people? How can you know? That's just it, you don't [know]

I myself have been positively influenced by nasheeds that speak of the deen, and akhi I would have to disagree with you in that it does not make people reflect, there are many people who get affected by anasheed and who then reflect on maybe their state as a Muslim, their state of imaan, their relationship with Allah, etc. So if you don't like it, fine. If it doesn't affect you, okay. But don't generalize about others, because you don't speak for them.

Second point, you said why did I put a nasheed about the attributes of Allah SWT. Well akhi, or ukhti, if you would watch the video you would see that all three categories of Tawheed are mentioned, all three essential in your belief in Islam, therefore the Shahada, which is the testimony of faith.:

The three being Tawheed al Uloohiyah (Tawheed of Worship), Tawheed ar-Ruboobiyah (Tawheed of Lordship) and Tawheed Asma wa Sifaat (Tawheed of Names and Atrtibutes. This nasheed speaks of Tawheed Asma wa Sifat, so I thought it fit perfectly with the video.

The singer is singing about the 99 names of Allah, ok, maybe the listener is reflecting and remembering, but is it seriously possible in the same time to read and think about what is written in the video, about such important thing like Tawheed??? Tawheed and singing in one video together?

Scholars of the ummah, Ibn 'Abbaas ,Ibn al-Qayyim and others said:"idle talk" refers to singing.Singing clouds the mind and can people block from Qur'an...

Al-Qaasim said: Singing is part of falsehood.

Singing and playing the daff are things that women do on Eid,the Salaf used to call male singers effeminate. There are other evidences on IslamQ&A.

Know brother that there is the opinion that so long as you don't use musical instruments and are of singing that which is beneficial (i.e.islam) then it is permissible. This nasheed fits that description.

lol brother it's fine if you don't like the particular nasheed artist or the song, but it's not right to call it crappy, Brother Kamal Uddin is singing (in a halal nasheed mind you) about Allah SWT, His Names and Attributes, and then about Rasullulah, so it's best not to title them "crappy"
