She played in my town tonight, it sold out in a couple of hours, and tickets for the concert were going for 4X the cover price. Yep, she's popular in Australia. Music is about passion, and if the artist is good enough to give such a beautiful gift to us, then it's only right that we should applaud long and loud, and make her feel loved.

This performance is kind of heart-wrenching. It's actually the first I've ever seen of Ms. Marling-- I had no idea she was so young-- and I'm really struck by the depth of vulnerability she displays. The sorrow in her voice and the sheer earnestness of her delivery remind me a lot of Townes Van Zandt. Color me impressed.
