  • I used the wetfire for some time now and the sparkie wetfire burns great, and lighting it is no problem.

  • Both the sparkie and the wetfire tinder are junk, bought both, sparkie was nearly dead after lighting a couple fires, also hard to turn the rod over, in efficient design.

Wetfire wouldn't start from sparkie sparks or even a bic lighter held to its sruface (powdered or whole) they just shrivelled and blackened.

    NOT RELIABLE - JUNK

  • I am an ultralight backpacker and carry only 1 type of tinder. I do carry the sparkie as my main firestarter and was wondering if I should carry the Wetfire tinder or military trioxane firestarter as tinder. (I always use natural tinder first so it would be my backup firestarter) Thanks! -Nighthawk

  • @Nighthawk961 try both and use the one with the one that suits your need.

  • do you think i can get this at scheels

  • wet fire has about a six month shelf life after its been opened

  • Thanks ! gonna buy some now 4 sure.

  • lol mine was useless it wasnt opened hehehe but they do make outstanding blastmatch . your wetfire is white color mine was dark grey in color maybe to changed the product?

  • Nice job. I love the wet fire tinder, I have some just about everywhere in my pack.

  • Amazing stuff. I am very impressed. I have to have it. Thanks for sharing!
