Better get used to the r62A they are back on the 6 starting fall of 2011 due to the mta taking the 6s r142a fleet for the 7s r188 order the 4 is also getting 80 sets of r62a for it giving up 80 r142a with cbtc for the 7 line so it will be great again enjoy just to clarify the r142a on the 6 currently and the 80 r142a on the 4 will be the r188 hope this helps

The 3 traisn need tohe new cars liek the 2,4,5,and 6. It makes me mad that they can afford to change the 2,4,5,6,N,L,J,M,Z,etc. and they cant change the traisn that are the most convenient 3,A,D, (Actually, I say a new D train in a train garage)
But w/e hapened to the M and the Z?

The 3 train aint getting the new cars. R68 subway cars are also fairly new. they've only been around since the mid 80s and still have a whole lot of years left on them. at least until 2025. so basically what u see is what u get

@LolliLolli1995 There are no plans to scrap the R62s or R68s anytime soon. R62s and R68s (R68s run on the D line) are fairly good cars. they will be in the subway system AT LEAST until 2030. Get used to it cuz what u see is what u get

No, I think this was an Uptown train. The sharp curve I think is on the North end of the station.

to add to that i like the whirr of the R62 and i find the whirr of the R142 a bit irritating but thats because i travel on the IND more and that ive only been on the R142 once

ur crazy! my r62's are the best , well then again I love all r62's r40's those two set are going to be coing out soon from MTH trains. Look out for them go to mth electric trains and type in subway.

lets put it this way. what i like about the R62's is their shiny interiors and their AC but what i dont like about them is their bucket seating and full width cabs. on the other note they displaced the redbirds. i also like the R40's because of their R32 style seating, their half width cabs and their unique slant

All on the War on Terror MTANYC! Who cares about our civil rights and liberties? Who cares about the artistic appreciation of movies and public transit some of us may have. Bothering innocent train hobbyists is such a waste of time. Why don't they capture Osama bin Laden or some real criminals? On another note, I love the R 62 train here. Do post more!

When I took this video in 2004 there was nobody in the station at all! If I see police I never shoot any video because they will harass me. Even though it's a hobby and I am a tax paying citizen
