i was at the skatepark when i saw a huge fire then i found out it was ncp and there was trains that almost caught fire and the town almost had to be evacuatedthe train cars had diesel an gas and stuff in them

This fire at NCP was predicted by some employers who have been there for a long time.The building was getting old with no updates and the roof was never maintained or cleaned.The machines such as the dryers were not updated and over worked to the point that there was many smaller fires that the employees did their best to put out.Neglect and abuse led to the mayor fire

there was a couple inches thick of dust sitting on the roof apparently. my dad worked there, he wasnt on shift at the time but the guy that did his job during the day was the guy that was careless.

my dad was on shift that night ( he was a millwright) and he says that if the prince george fire department hadn't so many holes in the roof the mill could have been saved and he says that if the NCP fire crew wasn't kicked out it could also have been saved

I heard he was a stoner, and my step dad was on the shift and had to fight the fire

I heard the guy who started it wasn't watching the burners properly was a stoner, now a many guys have lost their jobs including my step father. I was there watching it, lot's of propane tanks getting blown up, but the little plywood storage they had wasn''t even touched o.O. Also many workers had to fight the fire when it began and then had to evacuate leaving keys to cars there and other personal belongings. Many had to leave they're cars there because they forgot their keys.

Crazy shtuff. It's much too easy to speculate conspiracy than to actually think about things so maybe bvfdjames should forgive kissymommy23 for being so lazy and then we can all maybe start a conversation about possible solutions for the poor folks who relied on NCP for their livelihood. Any suggestions or upddated info would be really neat. What can we as members of this fine town do to help eachother or are we into that kind of do-goodery?

To even suggest an employee or supervisor purposly burnt down the mill so they could be jobless is absolutely disgusting. Also they did not try hard to sell it as they wanted to sell the Fort Nelson Plywood mill and keep NCP. Companies tried to buy NCP but Canfor would only offer them Tackama. Please dont make comments on stuff you know absoulutly nothing about.
