need help to unlock my compaq notebook pc windows vista administrator I can only use the guest but I can not do anything because I always ask for permission to password manager
This command actually works on all user accounts--not just the Admin account. This is also done the exact same way on Windows 7. Additionally, there is a way to do this through the actual user control service--but I've forgotten how. Finally, just to point this out, there is no reason to use this account if you already have an admin account: UMS may be disabled manually by going into the User Control Panel and disabling it under your user name.
1. Launch the cmd prompt - Make sure you select, 'Run as administrator'
2. Type the following but without the "sd
2. "Net user administrator p£ssw0rD" (type the password you want instead of p£ssw0rD, you HAVE to do this or you will not be able to get into your admin account.)
