Ah, Bob. My hero. Does anybody know the inspiration for the 3 hole circle, revolvery looking symbol or is it something the knife makers guild bequiths on you?

@mojothemigo : it's a Japanese family crest/badge. Very common in Japan in design and especially in product identity, but not in daily use by families any more. Usually a circle with some geometric or floral pattern or design inside. Not sure where his is from or if it has any prior relation.
