well i recently talked to Snowy and we both got the same opinion about "genres"...WHY CARE if it's called black/death/thrash Sleaze/rock it's all is music!! and so what if one song with notre dame does not sound the same as the other..so?? it's still metal and it's good!
i mean he's done everything from like Sweet(the 70's glam band) sounding songs
and this, and it's all great man, but come on it's just music!! so Enjoy=)
I think Notre Dame did with black metal what Alice Cooper did with rock music and White Zombie did with metal and Danzig with punk. As for Cof, I think it is a combination of bands. I lost interest of them after Midian... I think CoF did a nice touch with their first records, giving a victorian twist to black metal rather than Baroque orchestration used by continental bands. After Dusk, though, they turned it to be a (decent) metal-band-with-keyboard. They influenced bands, but they all suck :)
Cradle of Filth? I wouldn't say so. Cradle itself is a combination of genres. And I don't think they are original and good enough to influence another band (Cradle, I mean). Anyways, great song, I agree with sebasripi3 and Ramonstr666, Vampirella does rule! PS: on which album is this song, I cant find it in my playlist?
es horror metal

This is definately closer to black metal than "Bouffoon, Bloody Bouffoon," but I still wouldn't consider it such.

The singer in Notre Dame is an old memeber of King Diamond, so I guess that it's not a surprise :P
